Adjustable bed
After a full
oesophagectomy
I’m considering buying an adjustable bed. Suggestions please on good brands and what works for you. I’ve looked at ‘lifestyle beds’ that can move into an upright position and adjustable beds that have extra gizmos to massage the body to prevent bedsores etc.

Dexilant and Pantaprazole combination denied after using 7 months, is stopping 1 of the 2 safe?
I have been taking a combination of Dexilant in the morning and Pantaprazole in the evening for 7 months now. When I went to renew my prescriptions I was informed that I was not allowed to take both medications. I was just taking pantaprozole once a day after my esophagectomy Oct 31, 2013 but started

Sleeping on the left after oesophagectomy
I have an adjustable bed and , since my
oesophagectomy
15 months ago, sleep upright on my back each night but I woke the other morning and turned on to my left side. After 10 mins I had the vilest attack of reflux. The vicious burning lasted for one hour and I was basically out of action all day.

Stasis 12 years after oesophagectomy (for achalasia)
Has anyone else had this stasis problem after
oesophagectomy
. I was doing really well for 12 years then all of a sudden this stasis issue seems to have started. So far in the past six months I have had three dilatations of the pylorus.

Stomach Exit Stretch
Went for an Endoscopy at the JR in Oxford yesterday as I'm getting a lot of hic-burping since my
oesophagectomy
last May. It turns out that my anatomically altered stomach isn't emptying as quickly as it should. Which apparently quite common (about 1 in 5) after an
oesophagectomy

I’m new here but am glad to find this place!
Hello, I live in Las Vegas. I am post esophagectomy from 3 1/2 years ago. I am now in remission from esophageal cancer. I am having excessive mucus within my throat and need to cough it up and out. Can anybody advise me on what I can take to relieve this? Also, my thoracic surgeon performed a myotomy

12 Years Post Oesophagectomy (achalasia) Breathless
Hello, I have not been here for many years as I confess I have had a really easy time with my
oesophagectomy
with very few complications. As you can see from the title of the post it was for achalasia. Out of nowhere some food has started to get stuck and I have become increasingly breathless.

POST OP.."Three Incision Esophagectomy"
In the three incision esophagectomy, the esophageal tumor is removed through an abdominal incision, right thoracotomy, and left neck incision. The esophagogastric anastomosis is located in the neck. 3 months 2 weeks since op, neck healed ok, but still numb in many places and the feeling of being strangled

Abdominal griping after eating
It is now five months since my
oesophagectomy
but during the last month I have begun to get uncomfortable abdominal pain after eating. This now seems to be every time I eat, even if it is a snack like biscuits. It lasts about half an hour and is sometimes accompanied by rapid heartbeat.

Hi all, I am 48 and after trying to get help with food and eventually liquid not being tolerated from August 2017 I was eventually diagnosed with ec at the lower junction. post oesophagectomy
I had an
oesophagectomy
about 18 months ago, and apart from an awful lot of wind, upwards and downwards, I am suffering from stomach paints after food, but not all the time. Any suggestions? After about an hour the pains go and I am then ok.
