When is my luck going to change
I have had COPD for many years, as I have said I am now on oxygen 16 hours a day and nebuliser 4 times a day. One month ago I had my cataract done in my left eye, it was great for the first week then I had double vision back again. Went back to see the consultant only to be told that the lens had moved

Nebs...
Ok so a random thought has just struck me - it may be the ventolin shakes from the neb I have just taken or it maybe the extensive baby brain that I find myself with at the moment so please forgive my strange thought but if you could have nebs scented what flavour/smell would you make them?! See I told

It's a parcel :)
Oh I love receiving parcels, Ebay, Amazon I am a happy lassie, just had a huge bang on the door and the postman hands over a lovely little chunky parcel. Oh what's this, I ask myself the Kipling Handbag was only paid for yesterday?! Excited I rip it open, its accessories for my nebuliser, I am thrilled

Don't seem to be improving
I have been having some trouble with my chest for just over a week now. Last Thursday I went to my GP as I could feel that I had a chest infection starting. He said he couldn't hear anything and sent me away with a course of prednisolone. By Monday I was worse and went back, this time they could hear

DLA for asthma
Hey all Just wondering if you can help. Last year I submitted a claim for DLA as my asthma is bad enough that I need 2 different inhaled steroids per day, in addition to ventolin prn, and xolair injections. This was turned down, and i've since been told I should have appealed but didn't. I now

Spiriva Respimat
Hello Folks, Spiriva Repsimat is usually prescribed for COPD patients and also difficult asthma too. I have just been given it last week when in hospital to try to help reduce the number of nebs I need a day. Anyone else here using it please and what are your views, results? How long did it take before

My husband has COPD
Quite a while ago, I was at my wits end because my husband was slowly dying from COPD and Bronchiectasis. He had been in hospital three times with pneumonia in 8 months and nearly died in hospital. He had completely given up. Whilst he was in hospital I was chasing up my appeals for the Attendance

Any folk ot there use a portable or larger home Nebuliser ?, and do they help?,
cos three times I have fineshed up in Hospital on one when breathing got very difficult for no apparent reasen , - presumably one has to get the chemical from the Doc as a prescription .The Internet seems to say they really ar'nt much better than an Inhaler, only difference is they FORCE the chemical

HOW DO YOU GET BRONCHIECTOSIS
My husband has had COPD for 8 years now and for the past few years we have been able to go abroad on our holidays. For the past two years my husband felt his breathing was getting worse (not on oxygen) so we decided to have our holidays in England. Everything was fine until the first week in January

This may come across as a bit of a moan but I am really running round the circles here. So, any advice is really appreciated. I was not well last week and could not arrange to speak to my GP (this is not a first time this has happened and I am thinking of changing my GP as I should be able to get hold
