Q re Levo not "topping up" natural thyroid hormones and side effects of overmedication
Just 25mcg (Teva unfortunately) and I had a horrific two weeks of post-nasal drip (GP doesn't think related, the internet/Mayo clinic disagrees - I suspect could have been the acacia/
mannitol
in Teva and/or the too low dose), so I started alternating half of a 100mcg Accord tablet one day, 25mcg Wockhardt

Mannitol challenge
I’ve recently seen a new consultant, who is sending me for a ‘
mannitol
’ challenge test and wondered if anyone else who has similar asthma to me, has had experience of this and what the outcome was.

Pharmacy sent two different brands
Got my first Levo prescription last week and asked the pharmacy specifically for no Teva because I didn't fancy taking chances with the
mannitol
(bad gut and bladder). They had Wockhardt, so I asked for that as seems generally OK for most.

Teva brand T3
Please could you advise if the Teva brand of Lio has the
mannitol
filler. I have just changed my Levo brand from Teva to Aristo after advice on this site due to wanting to remain lactose free but without
mannitol
I have just been prescribed Lio 20mcg to cut into 5mcg doses.

New member, looking for alternatives to Thyroid-S
It seems
mannitol
is a problem in thyroid drugs. My NDT supplier now sells VitaliThy from Vietnam. It seems good, but I am not too crazy about the fact that the capsules are dyed (metallic blue). But I like the fact that it does not contain lactose or cellulose.

Increasing my dose of B1 after 4 years and 7 months
FYI, I have also experienced some major depression and anxiety, but that's totally controlled by taking
mannitol
. Over the past 2 months, I've been experiencing brain fog, fatigue, urinary urge incontinence, and very noticeable word-recall problems.

Teva Lactose Free
I have seen that Teva do a lactose free tablet with
Mannitol
but I have only seen terrible report s on this. Has anyone got a positive story on this as I don't know how much longer I can deal with the other tablets. Thank you

Sensitive to Armour fillers?
He’s suggested trying Eltroxin and Liothyronine but I’m struggling to find any without lactose or
mannitol
. Does anyone know of any brands with less fillers that are better tolerated if you’re sensitive please?

Glenmark Levothyroxine (UK)
Particularly unfortunate as it was one of the few that contained neither lactose nor
mannitol
-
and
it was available in several dosages: We have temporarily discontinued this line, however we are currently looking at the possibility of reintroducing this product back into our portfolio

Switching from levothyroxine to NDT: your experience?
I take lactose/
mannitol
free levo and been taking the same brand for at least 8 years. Basically, I need to increase thyroxine. But each time I do, my body doesn't react well to it.

Sharing a post with a list of companies working on disease modification therapies for PD
I personally find it heartbreaking, and I am praying the universe that thanks to exercising,
mannitol
, B1, photobiomodulation etc... are helping.

Dry Mouth & the Advanced PC Patient (for those on Pluvicto or meds or ICI, where a side effect is dry mouth) - A Guide
Artificial sugars such as saccharine, aspartame, sorbitol, xylitol,
mannitol
, etc. are not broken down into acid by plaque bacteria. Xyletol has been shown to actually help in the prevention of dental decay, beyond not being able to be fermented to acid.

any brand of 12.5 tablet other than teva
hi all I’ve discovered I have an adverse reaction to the
mannitol
in teva 12.5. The thyroid U.K. website says no other brand make this size. Is that correct please?

Terrible reflux on Teva levothyroxine...help!
The only difference o can see from this brand to others is that it contains
Mannitol
instead of lactose. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and could offer any advice?

Teva levothyroxine
I don’t know if it is a coincidence or the
mannitol
causing side effects! Anyone had similar?

Should I switch to NDT from levo?
I take lactose/
mannitol
free levo. My symptoms are HBP and elevated pulse at times that is a scary experience. Last night with the pulse of 130 was very concerning, my BP went up to 140/95, it felt like my heart was going to jump out of me. That was on 88 mcg taken that day.
