How long to Castrate Resistance: ADT+/- ARSI
They cannot report it for Enza mono as they could always add
Lupron
, and these had supra-physiologic Testosterone levels, so do not meet criteria for CR. It is an additional unmeasured possible advantage of ARSI monotherapy as it could be followed with ADT when monotherapy fails.

How do you find a good oncologist and how do you overcome the side effects of Lupron?
Also, what has your experience with
Lupron
been and how do you combat the awful side effects? Are there any other treatments besides this?

Blood work on radiation and Lupron
Urology physician assistant (PA) gave me a PSA blood lab slip to do prior to my next
Lupron
shot which is about 15 days after completing radiation. She said it was standard office protocol to do PSA test prior to
Lupron
shot.

Questions about ADT drugs and insurance
Will Medicare cover
Lupron
injections under part B as it is not self administered (as opposed to pills)? If so how much will they cover (with a supplement plan). Regarding Orgovyx, since it is a pill and not an injection will it be covered under Medicare part D drug coverage?

PSA doubled 3 months after chemo - normal or a concern?
I’m currently on
Lupron
and NUBEQA, and completed 6 rounds of taxotere at the end of April (Triplet Therapy). PSA cut in half every three weeks while on the chemo going from 0.944 in January to 0.013 in April.

Orgovyx Insurance Approval
I really want to avoid
Lupron
or Eligard since I take two blood pressure meds, one statin and Metformin for type 2 diabetes already. Plus, I have heard nothing but bad things about both. Yes, I realize everyone responds differently.

New Developments in My Husband's PCA Journey
A repeat psa on 12/5/23 revealed his psa had risen to .273 (so a definite biochemical occurence). My husband's surgical oncologist at Yale immediately referred him to a Medical Oncologist who started him on Casodex followed by
Lupron
two weeks later.

Advice - Surgery or Radiation?
right. 1 cm low left pelvic sidewall lymph node. 9 mm right pelvic sidewall lymph node The radiologist suggested 3 markers to be inserted with 20 visits of external beam, also mentioned something else that I do not recall the name of but 5 visits with more radiation each time, both combined with

Two Qs: Benefits treatment; onset of bone pain
PSA kept climbing so I started
Lupron
2 years ago. Worked until recently when PSA spiked. PETscan showed metastasis for first time into torso lymph nodes. Been on Aberiterone and Prednisone for three months now (along with
Lupron
) and appears to bringing PSA back down.

Lupron only after 4.5+ years
Started

Nov. 2018. Over the years PSA has bounced up and down from low of 0.5 in March 2021 to high of 1.4 in June 2020. Mostly stayed 0.6 to 0.9. Ended 2022 at .67, but last two readings were 1.01 in March and .98 two days ago. Never had RP, radiation, chemo, or other hormonal meds.

Lupron from 3 to 6 months
Hi Fellow PC warriors, Since my PSA is undetectable, less than 0.01, and I’m otherwise in good health with stage 4 and mets throughout, my urologist suggests I go from 3 month injections intervals to every 6 months. He mentioned that the side effects are similar and the only change is going from

Started taking Taxomere and
Lupron
treatments.. my PSA levels went from 6 to 1 to 0.2. I still have three more treatments to go.. Hope this gives hope to people. The taxomere seems to work fairly well.

Gleason score 8 and lots of questions...
He recommended
Lupron
but after I inquired about Orgovyx due to what I had read was a more benign side effect profile, he said that was another option but that testosterone levels tend to build up faster after discontinuation. Anyone have thoughts on
Lupron
vs. Orgovyx?

8/4/2023 Update
To review, after 19 months on
Lupron
, Zytiga, prednisone, PSA increased on 1/23 to 0.253, then 0.309 on 2/21. Plarify scan showed only one active site in hip which was radiated. 4/4 PSA dropped to 0.24 which indicated the lesion was knocked out and I would be hormone sensitive and stay on Zytiga.
