Severe breathlessness
I had robotic surgery upper right
lobectomy
in June this year. Initially I made a good recovery and after about 2 months was experiencing hardly any breathlessness. However after about 4 months I have become extremely breathless on the slightest exertion eg getting up or talking.

Life After Colectomy/Colon Resection Surgery
Hello, Could anyone please share about their experience with a colon resection surgery? Changes in urgency or incontinence or pain? What about eating? Can you eat seeds or nutshell, etc.? How long to heal? Thanks.

concerning CT scan
I never had pleural effusion noted any prior CT's - why would it appear now - 4 1/2 years post
lobectomy
and wedge resection for 2 stage 1! I was at a year visit cycle and now he said "because what the radiologist wrote" I would have done a year follow up but come back in 6 months.

Life After Colectomy - Colon Resection
Hello. Can anyone tell me realistically their experience after colectomy- colon resection surgery? I have been offered a left hemicolectomy and want to know what the true recovery is. Surgeons are minimizing the recovery and say once healed you will probably not notice anything. I have a hard time

squamous cell lung cancer
I had a right upper lobe
lobectomy
Feb 2023. I don’t hear much about squamous cell carcinoma on this site or anywhere else. It seems like most people end up with adenocarcinoma.

Any guidance on having chemo as a ulcerative colitis sufferer?
Hi I have been offered adjuvant chemo following a lower left
lobectomy
to remove a 42 mm adenocarcinoma. The histology showed no spread to the adjacent lymph nodes. I have a T2b staging.

Biopsy Results
I had a thoracotamy to perform top
lobectomy
on my right lung on 10th October at University Hospital North Midlands in Stoke. The TNM staging was T4N2M0. Today I saw the surgeon and was informed there were NO cancer cells in the lobe or lymph nodes.

Scanxiety!
Fortunately I get to see my doctor for the results immediately following. 4 1/2 years ago I had a RL
lobectomy
and RU wedge due to 2 small stage 1 NSCLC nodules (incidental finding 50 yo female). Scans have been thankfully clear since.

" Massive " Hiatal Hernia .
The Consultant said that they won't operate because it's too big and as I have had a
Lobectomy
due to lung cancer there would be problems with the Anaesthetic and I might not come through. The operation would probably take 4 hour's or more because it's such a " massive " hernia!

diagnostic procedure and surgery waiting times
I’ve just had consultation where it was confirmed I’d have a
lobectomy
(right side upper). This is fine and pleased I can have surgery but no explanation given on why this rather than segment- 3.3cm tumor. Again meeting was with trainee - not seen the consultant yet.

Dad not sleeping after Lobectomy
Hello all My dad had a
Lobectomy
on Aug 24th (right upper lobe ) he has pain more so at night ( has morphine and is dosing up etc ) has a V pillow to help . Is this common as the lack of sleep doesn’t help on top of having the surgery ?

NED means I should feel happy, right?
I had an upper left lung
lobectomy
and a wedge resection of the lower lobe to remove the primary tumor, as well as 14 lymph nodes (2 were positive) Dec 2021. I know surgery is not the usual treatment plan with Stage IV, but for me it seemed like a good idea.

VATS update for all you beautiful people
I had an upper right
lobectomy
on 22nd of May and wanted to thank everyone for your pre and post operative support and suggestions for making recovery easier. I’m feeling so much better now although my remaining bit of right lung seems to be making mucus.

Hi all l had a left
lobectomy
at the end of 2021, on my follow up l was told the lymph nodes removed were clear. I t was such a relief not having to go through the adjuvant chemo. However three weeks later was asked if l would like to try the chemotherapy, l decided against it.
