Preparing for Hepatitis C Treatment: Part 1by Alan Franciscus
Back when
interferon
was first approved, the cure rates were about 10%. The list of just the most common side effects could take up an entire page. Now, we have medications that can cure 90 to 100% of patients who undergo therapy.

Iodine Excess as an Environmental Risk Factor for Autoimmune Thyroid Disease
Moreover, stimulation of double-stranded RNA (a typical DAMP) significantly increased the expression of
interferon
-responsive genes, cytokines and chemokines and suppressed thyroid functional gene expression in cultured human thyroid cells [100].

sovaldi and Harvoni..who gets treatment?
thought...it looks as if people that have been treated before and not cleared the hep c that have cirrhosis need a longer duration of 24 wks of treatment..looking at the guide lines i see they are not willing to fund this group of people..where does that leave people like me who are not able to take

Ruxolitinib for PV
Was it hard to get it in UK as I understand it is not yet approved, did you have to "fail" on Hydra and
Interferon
. I am looking at the possibility of trying to get on it for my PV, I am in Scotland

hi I'm totally new to this forum
(
Interferon
) My consultant says the side effects will wear off eventually, but some mornings the bone pain is terrible. My consultant recommended the MPD Voice site, I have found more answers to questions than I ever could have imagined.

Pernicious anemia
I have ET and came off HU last yr and started
Interferon
in May. Have now had to start injections of B12 which I will have for life due to pernicious anemia. If this something that is linked or is it likely to be just me? Janet, 54, dx ET in 2010
