Sodium cromoglycate inhaler (Intal)
I used to take
Intal
15+ years ago in the USA, before I got on a biologic, and I found it more effective than the "blue inhaler" in helping me exercise. Once I got on the biologic and desensitization shots, I did not need
Intal
.

high dose ventolin
(
intal
) I really don't understand. She's saying that of all the people with asthma these 2 work fine as long as the asthma is controlled but for any other condition this common there are 10s of options. And they are all used because different medication works on different people.

A little of my Asthma Story...A Little Rant...
Got my first
Intal
inhaler at 10 and soon moved on on the blue and brown. Seen dozens of nurses and doctors over the years in regular asthma checks, been through it all.

The best in hailer for me was the old spincap containing
Intal
Orange capsules. Does anyone have any lying around that they don’t use? Fisons stopped production around 1999 I think? Don’t worry about the use by date! :0)

Inhalers: what to take and when!
https://healthunlocked.com/asthmauk/posts/143760377 In the future I’ll probably do a page covering the common add on therapies (montelukast, spiriva,
intal
, theophylline etc etc) but that’s for another day and another post - this post is long enough!

Intal
Some people with mast cell diseases use the sodium cromoglycate inhaler,
Intal
. The producer, Sanofi, confirmed today that it is out of stock but is expected back in late October.

Finally appointment time!
I’m on fostair 200/6, spiriva,
intal
and salbutamol inhalers, antihistamines, montelukast, theophylline, maintenance pred and 2 prophylactic antibiotics and there’s no scope to reduce anything really as I’m still not fully controlled (just had a steroid wean admission a few weeks ago).

Mast Cell Stabilisers
I keep looking at the other mast cell stabilisers such as Sodium Cromoglicate and Nedocromil Sodium inhalers (which I believe can have brand names of
Intal
and Tilade).

Intal/Tilade - Medication for exercise induced asthma
There appears to be some inhalers,
Intal
and Tilade too. Does anyone have any experience of these inhalers? Has anyone found them to be beneficial? I'd like to suggest these to the asthma nurse, but would like an insight into them first.

Thank you to everyone in our little online Asthma Village <3
FYI: I am back on the
Intal
(don't believe them if they say it doesn't exist anymore!!) I kept myself afloat with yogic breathing for about two years because of a very unforgivable professional's misinformation. Relying on 'The Blue One' is a risky road to tread.

Time between inhalations
When I was a lad & first got an inhaler (
Intal
), & through my time on Ventolin, Becotide, etc, I was always told to leave 2 minutes. This apparently was to give my lungs a rest between doses & allow the medicine to absorb.

Tilade or Intal inhalers and exercise
I wondered if anyone has used an inhaler like Tilade or
Intal
, along with their steroid preventer, to help with symptoms during exercise?

I probably took
Intal
from around 1972 to possible 1996, when i was informed that the drug would no longer be made and was being discontinued. Oh Great!

Intal
I have found that
Intal
helps me a lot. I take 20 mg a day. The doctor suggested I try 40. The easiest and cheapest way to get that would be to get the
Intal
spincaps and the spinhaler. I cannot find the spinhaler anywhere on any website. Does anybody know where I can find one?
