ABLATION OR NOT?
I am taking metropolol 50 mg 2x day, xeralto 20 mg 1/day, and lisiniprol 20 2xday plus
inhalers
and just starting a cholestrol drug. I seem to be doing better than last year but still in AF. Dr. Recommended ablation but gives 60 to 70 % success rate. Not sure if worth the risk.

Shortness of Breath
I had pneumonia in October 2021, and since then I've noticed I've had a real problem with chest tightness and shortness of breath. It's usually when I am talking/walking. It comes and goes usually based on reliever inhaler use. My reliever inhaler is usually working for for good few hours but then the

Flying for the first time since my asthma diagnosis
I’m newly asthmatic (started treatment end of January - currently on Ventolin and clenil modulite
inhalers
) I’m relatively well controlled but it is all still very new to me. I’m due to travel on a plane next week for 10 hours and I have no idea how my asthma will be while on the flight.

Asthma/mucus flare up? Could be just weather change?
(This happened also 2 years ago when I was first given
inhalers
and antibiotics to clear chest infection but I was much worse with wheezing and coughing then- could well have been covid that caused it but it was before it was known etc and was diagnosed with pneumonia and to take
inhalers
which I did

Scary experience with medication.
As someone with past heart conditions, I take several pills morning and nighttime. These include Bisoprolol which is a very tiny tablet. I often find this gets stuck on the back of my tongue so need water to flush it down. I also suffer from acid reflux which causes me to hiccup quite a lot. A few days

Fed up, with hospital doctors changing medication
If I take much more medication I will start to rattle [Tablets etc.]And give off smoke like a dragon [
Inhalers
] The Hospital Doctors changed my medication from Amlodopine to Diltiazem. I was perfectly OK before they changed my medication but thay changed it because Diltiazem is cheeper.

How to cope with a child with suspected asthma
I posted a while ago about my 3 year old LG who has suspected asthma and her medication and
inhalers
are not making a difference. She had the worse year last year and spent most of it coughing.

Trouble with New EasyChamber
Hi there. I’ve just had my spacer prescription changed from the old type to the new, anti-static one called, I believe, EasyChamber. It has a valve on top that regulates the out breath and I’m finding it difficult to use. Inhaling is fine but exhaling is like blowing through a straw or blowing up a balloon

Nasonex and brown inhaler
Hi, before being given my blue and brown inhaler, I was prescribed Nasonex steroid nasal spray, 2 puffs twice a day. I forgot to ask the Dr if I should carry on with it, now I’m on the brown inhaler daily 🤦♀️ Does anyone know if I should still be using the Nasonex ? Thank you

How long is too long to be on the sick? I’m scared to go back to work 😞
I’m no longer on the steroid tablets or antibiotics but I am on 3
inhalers
a day one of which is a steroid. I have been on the sick for 6 weeks and due to return to work 4th January… for all it’s just an office job, I feel really scared about going back.

This is the third cough/ virus/ infection since November and they have knocked me for 6. Any advice?
Hi there. I am new to the site and consider myself to be healthy, but unlucky when it comes to illness. I was asthmatic as a child, spending time in hospital when I was very young, which was horrid. Anyway, over time asthma seemed to disappear and I went without use or need of an inhaler from my 20s

Symbicort Inhaler
Hello, advice please. I was diagnosed with asthma last May after being free from it for over 40 years. Have never seen a doctor as all doctor appointments were over the phone. I was initially given ventolin which helped a little but could not breathe properly and was taking it every 4 hours. After

Need to start making some changes to help my asthma
Hi all, hope you are well. At the moment I'm really bad with taking my steroid inhaler, pretty overweight and I smoke. So I need to start helping myself. I'm going to the gym but I do very little cardio as I mainly lift weights. Any tips and advice would be great, I'm still waiting on my GP to help with

Trimbow
I was on fostair 200/6 and spiriva for severe asthma but today they changed my
inhalers
to trimbow and I was wondering if that was a step back because I read that it is a lower steroid and my chest has been dodgy for the last few weeks
