New design of inhaler.
I have recently been prescribed
Fostair
200/6. It suits me OK. I am on my second issue. The first had a counter on the back. This second issue does not. Has the design been changed? It is useful to have the counter so I can reorder a further supply in time.

Weak legs again
Nearly every inhaler I have been prescribed over the years make my legs feel weak shortly after using it I asked to be prescribed the
Fostair
Nexthaler early this year and this has not caused the weak legs side effect in either the 100/6 or 200/6 dosage.

Are Asthma Meds Depleting your Potassium?
For example only, the Patient Information Leaflet for
Fostair
contains a related caution - though I gather
Fostair
is far from the only Med involved. So why is this a big deal? Arguably the two most important nutrients we need are Magnesium and Potassium.

Beware of misdiagnosis! My story...
Finally my diagnosis was adjusted to asthma/copd (ACOS) and I was discharged with ventolin and high dose
Fostair
inhalers.

Asthma?
I have been taking
Fostair
and don't seem to need anything else , my breathing seems fine. I just wonder how the tests are classed as normal when I take an inhaler anyway? Can bad chest infections leave you with asthma? Is it likely to become copd or is it that already?

Very confused!
Doctor has just suggested a third course of steroids for a whole week to knock it on the head plus allow time to get used to
fostair
and if it doesn't calm down afterwards we can look into hospital tests. Losing lots of sleep means I am tired for work the next day.

Asthma investigations
To explain, I have had a cough day and night now for about 5 weeks now, and even with using my
fostair
the doctor doesn't think it's properly controlled, as I'm having to use my salbutamol a lot more to.

Asthma or not?
My results had vastly improved as I'm taking
Fostair
daily. As soon as I started that I felt almost back to breathing normally. Would this improvement happen with copd? Can it happen? Consultant diagnosed asthma the first time I saw her? Hence
Fostair
? I see her again next week?

Asthma, and side effects of steroid inhalers.
I have recently been given a new inhaler, in the last month /month and half, I had been on
fostair
for quite a while. And recently been changed to symbicort. I have been having quite an upset stomach in the last couple of weeks. With constant burping, and indigestion.

Fostair/Montelukast
I have been asthmatic for 25+years and was advised at my last asthma review a year ago to use
Fostair
and told to take one Montelukast at night. However, these have gradually made my asthma worse so until I see my doctor in the morning I have not taken either of these medications for 5 days.

Mucous plugs inside lungs can not cough up anything at all..
Only taking prednisolone and have an
Fostair
inhaler. Now my chest feels like a cat sitting a purring inside me- very noisy and rattly. I was given Carbocisteine syrup on my own request as i feel the phlegm inside but it seems doing absolutely nothing- taking 750mg per day for 6 weeks now.
