Should I take my prescribed Carbocisteine medication
My hospital consultant has prescribed a
Fostair
inhaler for which I have no objection if he feels it’s a good thing for me but I am uneasy about taking the Carbocisteine capsules he also prescribed as they seem to be for for much more acute sufferers.

Asthma inhaler
My brown inhaler hasn’t been working very well for me, and the nurse in my practice prescribed a pink one called
Fostair
. It said you must read the pamphlet before using, so I have, and it says ‘do not use beta blockers with this medicine’.

6 Months+ of Asthma Issues
I've gone from clenil (what I was on when the attacks happened and have been on since I was diagnosed with asthma) to sirdupla,
fostair
, back to sirdupla due to side-effects from the
fostair
and I'm currently on revlar, which I started around three weeks ago.

A happy post
I want to thank nurse Claire at Asthma UK, Emma and Twinkly, numerous other lovely people who have advised, helped and reassured me - and
Fostair
. At the end of March I had a nasty virus which may or may not have been Covid.

Best Time To Take Diltiazam (viazem XL)
Hi I normally take my meds within 1 hour of waking up in the morning which are Apixaban,
Fostair
100/6 and Digoxin which has now been replaced with Diltiazem. I do not have breakfast normally so all meds are on a empty stomach apart from cups of T.

Pneumonia or Thyroid?
I have also had well controlled asthma since childhood, and have taken Clenil Modulite inhaler for many years, until it was recently changed to
Fostair
, during an infection.

High PEF even though close to seeking emergency help.
I normally take
Fostair
200/6 two puffs morning and 2 puffs evening and Montelukast I called my gp and spoke to the nurse who prescribed prednisolone (40g). I'm now recovering slowly but it seems I can't trust my PEF readings to warn of an attack.

Feeling so low with COPD
I use a pink
fostair
inhaler, braltus and am using my sabutamol an increasing amount. I also take carbocisteine and steroid and antibiotics on demand. I had been feeling unwell, tired, achy, headaches, especially before bedtime.

My doctor has just decided to put me on
fostair
200/6 and it’s definitely helped although I’m not keen on the side affects but I’m definitely willing to give it a go because my asthma is already feeling under much more control and I’m breathing much better.

Fostair doesn't last all day
Have recently been changed to
Fostair
100/6 2 puffs twice a day.....was previously on clenil. The
Fostair
has been fab, I have actually felt back to normal for a good 7-8 hours of the day but it seems to start to wear off mid afternoon.

Fostair problems after 7/8 weeks?
Hi just wondered if anyone had a similar experience on the pink
Fostair
inhaler. My asthma has always been ok, I never used a daily preventative just took my blue inhaler before sports and would need it occasionally during high allergy season.
