What to do about my Osteoporosis? 78 years old, Last DEXA scan shown severe osteoporosis. Did not like what the doctor said to do.
My rheumatologist suggested I take a shot in my stomach for two years of a medication called
FORTEO
, Sorry about the spelling of the medication. Some thing about taking a shot in my stomach every day for two years and then going onPreolia.. I have decided to do nothing.

Fosamax side effects
Waiting to get on
Forteo
as my osteoporosis is severe. Being on thyroid medication also seems to be a waste despite dose and brand not getting better. The doctor claims no other issues. I'm fed up., I didn't have any other side affect s such as gastric.

Adrenaline from starting too low/ slow with cortex?
Hi, I started the nutrimeds adrenal cortex plus. I took ~1/4 capsule (so ~25mg cortex) in juice sipped on over 4h (waking, ~8am to 12pm). I am usually hypersensitive to supplements, which is why I wanted to start low and slow. My low back soreness has increased and I feel wired/ increased adrenaline

Help and Opinions on Prolia for Osteoporosis
I have taken Actonel, Boniva,
Forteo
and Fosamax already. I really did not want to consider this because of the possibility of side affects lasting for 6 months. Then decided it is probably the right step.

Phlegm in abundance for nearly two years. Is there any known condition that causes this much phlegm over a long period without diagnosis?
For the record, I am on
Forteo
- nearly 2 years - for my osteoporosis. This treatment started in Sept of 2019 shoutly before my excessive Phlegm experience. Except for the timing there is no reason to thing they are related.

New Diagnosis & Feeling Overwhelmed
Next Tuesday, I begin the daily injections of
Forteo
. I've started calcium/vitamin D. Due to the severity of my osteoporosis combined with my age, I'm really worried about what the next few years of my life will look like.

Information about REMS Echolight scan for osteoporosis
No fractures to date but my doctor would like me to start taking
forteo
(teriparatide). I am wondering (hoping) that if bone quality is good maybe I can manage things without meds. I am 68 and otherwise in good health.

DHEA/Cortisol Ratio is Low
I recently had serum, saliva and urine tests to confirm an elevated cortisol diurnal. My ACTH has been elevated for the past 6 months and it has thrown me off w/thyroid meds (Synthroid). I was on 75, then on 50, now on 62.5 consistently for 8+ weeks. I really don't know what's happening with the ACTH

Waiting for a decision on Teriparatide (Part 2)
Dear friends, This is Steve again on behalf of Margaret my dear wife. Just as you dare to think matters are slowly improving, this has happened! Margaret got out of bed on Sunday morning and went to the bathroom. As she stood up she felt a vice like grip from her spine, around her ribs and crushing

prednisone withdrawal symptoms
A cute little leaflet with surprisingly grim recommendations.... "A full recovery can take anywhere from a week to several months. Contact your doctor if you experience prednisone withdrawal symptoms as you are tapering off the drug. .......... Current Guidelines • Patients be informed of the signs

Micronutrients used in study protocol reversed my osteoporosis though taking prednisone for PMR
After I couldn’t tolerate AA and
Forteo
landed me in hospital for shortness of breath I researched a study protocol used in Canada which had good results. This was the COMB protocol using micronutrients: It used: fish oil, K2, D3 and strontium Citrate.
