Seretide as opposed to taking Flixotide and Serevent
My friend takes
Flixotide
250mcg and Serevent 25 mcg (same dosage). Are we actually taking the same? Any feedback appreciated. Carla

Halleluyah! Doc finally listened and changed my meds
but he did take my suggestions on board, and has prescribed
Flixotide
as my steroid inhaler. That's all I'm on at the moment. If things do get worse, then we're looking at a combo inhaler. But guess what? I've taken it twice now without it setting off my asthma.

Sometimes I get these 'hyper spikes' from the steroids
- might help for a few days but assumed, because it is just a strong steroid - that it would be like taking large doses of
Flixotide
. Anyhow, I have digressed as the main reason why I came on here was to ask if anyone else feels 'hyper' when they take
Flixotide
?

Do steroids make your chest 'move' or more flexible? Do they remove soreness?
After I have been on the inhaled steroids -
flixotide
- for some months I began to regain movement in my chest. My ribs began to move and be flexible allowing my chest to rise and fall.

Hello everyone, Have just been changed back onto
flixotide
from symbicort. Its a large dose 1000mcg twice daily via an accuhaler, i've been onit before and it caused no problems. This time I have a swollen (just because its sore), cracked tongue with red bits on it.

Cough Variant Asthma??
The consultant said if this has helped I should be put on
Flixotide
inhalers. My cough has improved a bit but I still have very bad chest pains and tightness especially in the morning. Will the
Flixotide
help this?

All this superfluous medication - what do I do with it?
There are: 3 ventolin evohalers (like to have spares) 2 Clenil Modulite evohalers (2 different strengths) 1 Serevent Evohaler 1
Flixotide
Evohaler 2 boxes of Singulair It seems so wasteful, and being a bit of an ecowarrior, I'm looking for some responsible way of putting them to use, rather than just

Brittle Asthma and VCD
This wasn't prevented even with being on prednisolone 30mg a day, seretide 250,
flixotide
250, singulair 10mg, regular salamol nebs. I was pretty much a mystery to the medical profession as why this had come so out of the blue. I was diagnosed as having brittle asthma.

Steroid use and cataracts
Although I saw my GP yesterday he didn't make any suggestion about reducing my
flixotide
although he did seem surprised I was on such a high dose (and have been for at least ten years!).
