Recovery from ablation.
Dr Todd saw me next morning and said they would give me some bisoprolol and extra
Flecainide
but if that doesn’t work I was nil by mouth the following morning and would try shocking me again. Only got as far as one dose of bisoprolol and hour later back in NSR....phew.

I’m new here. SVT and a Dancer!
Cardiologist has suggested
Flecainide
50mg twice a day. So far I haven’t taken any as I’ve been too scared!! How has anyone else found the
Flecainide
? What side effects did you get if any?

In each case, I reverted quickly using
Flecainide
as a PiP and the episodes were much less severe than before the ablation. From around April, I started to get some short, rapid but regular runs and they became more frequent.

Insomnia
I suffer from paroxysmal afib and take
Flecainide
and Rivaroxaban. My main problems are dizziness and breathlessness. Also have great trouble getting to sleep, sometimes awake many hours until early morning. As I’m trying to sleep I start to have palpitations and realise I’m going into afib.

Flecainide SLOW release V immediate release
Hi all. I'm working abroad and here for longer than I thought I would be. I bought over a good few months worth of my UK prescribed Flecaincide. However I ran out yesterday so got some from Bulgaria. The UK one is immediate release - 100 mg twice daily. The Bulgarian one is a prolonged-release capsule

Flecainide - from PIP to 2x100/day now want to get off of it
The cardio i went to see just told me I could stop cold turkey for both

Knee surgery
Addendum 8/22: Just heard back from my heart doc, he said it was fine to go back on daily
flecainide
for a couple months if I want. Bet I’m the first patient he has had asking to go back on antiarrhythmic!!! Plus he is the one I had to argue with to do PIP as he isn’t a fan of PIP.

Difference between Bisoprolol & Flecainide
My doctor said I could go try
Flecainide
- anyone have experience of switching? Will the sleep disturbances lessen with Bisoprolol over time? Any suggestions? Many thanks.

Gastrocardiac problems?
I take Rivaroxaban and
Flecainide
, I also feel breathless much of the time and a little dizzy. I put that down to the
Flecainide
but my cardiologist doesn’t agree. He says it only causes a headache- well I haven’t even had one!

Almost 3 Months Post Ablation and Getting increased Blood Pressure.
I am just into my 11th week after my ablation and am due to stop the three months course of
Flecainide
; the first 10 weeks were OK other than a blip in week one, and my blood pressure has been steady at around 120/75 with a HR of 60 ( pre ablation I was on Sotalol ) .

Flecainide again!!
I have taken
Flecainide
since 2011. First 100 mg bd and now 50 mg twice a day. In all that time I've had one episode during a flu type virus and that was when I was 100 twice a day. Not wanting or hoping for medical advice.

Outpatient dilemma.
The
Flecainide
was supposed to be increased from 50 to 100mg last week but not done. This is another nightmare topic for another occasion. On the discharge sheet under INSTRUCTIONS FOR GP the box N/A is ticked. Now I am unsure what I must do.

I felt so smug....
So have tried for the first time the 200 mg of
Flecainide
as the pill in the pocket remedy. After an hour my heart rate has dropped to 120, still twice its normal pace but my cardiologist says can take up to four hours. Hope it gets sorted as due to have arthroscopies on both knees tomorrow.

Sometimes but very rarely
Flecainide
will stop it after a few hours. Waiting to try Propafanone. Luckily my HR never goes too wild so I can ride it out. Di

PAF to Permanent?
Or could it be that after almost 5 years the
Flecainide
I take (150x2 daily), is no longer working?
