Drug Combinations
Have been taking Diltiazem and
flecainide
for many years which seems to have kept AF under control. However after recent bad experience with Losartan for BP I have been prescribed Amlodipine. Does anyone out there have experience of two Calcium Blockers?

How does Digoxin work?
I’m also taking
flecainide
200mg and bisoprolol 5mg. The dr has said I won’t take digoxin at home. A) If the digoxin works in hospital, as my heart is in AF, what is to stop it increasing pace once I am up and about again. B) what are the likely next steps if the digoxin doesn’t work? Thanks

Tachycardia after AF. Has this happened to anyone?
I went into fast AF today- 130 bpm, went to A and E, given IV
flecainide
and instead of converting to SR at 60bpm which is my usual, I converted at 115 bpm and stayed that way for about an hour before going back to AF at 130 again. Have now been admitted to the cardiology ward.

So here we go again…(well sort of)
Flecainide
kept things completely clear until this year when I have had half a dozen short lived episodes, stopped with additional
Flecainide
to the daily 100 mg. Apparently best to ablate when incidents still rare so thank you BUPA and hopefully will be done in October.

Experience with Flecainide
Should I try and contact my GP before the weekend or should I just wait and see if the
Flecainide
will work? It is so strange that the episodes are lasting longer the higher dosage I take. Thanks so much.

AF has changed...Ablation or different drugs?
Hi, I've posted before about my AF caused when excercising, I was put on Bisporolol 2.5 once a day, then a couple of months later with
Flecainide
50mg to take alongside as bisoprolol not really cutting it.

Stress bike echo test
I was in the queue for it (regarding possible PIP
flecainide
) and finally after waiting 3 months did it on the 4 August. My resting heart rate is rather low (49-54) before the test I had an episode of PAF which was rather strong , went to A&E and was given there 200
flecainide
and 2,5 bisoprolol.

Ablation for Atrial Ectopics. Anyone have this done or know what the criteria is to qualify?
EP had me try
Flecainide
and Propafenol, but it seemed to make the problem much worse. EP said he does not do ablation for PACs. I feel desperate and would like to know if anyone has had ablation for PACs or some other recommendation?

Alcohol
Hi , I’m on bisoprolol and
flecainide
, I’m just wondering does anyone drink alcohol on these medication. I don’t drink but occasionally if I go somewhere special I’m wondering what it would do if I drank or is it dangerous.

Update on cataract op and Flecainide
He said that
Flecainide
makes the central black part of the eye 'floppy' and that care needs to be taken when the incision is made. He didn't see it as a problem but something he had to be aware of.

Post Ablation next stage
I saw my cardiologist last week and he said I can start to wean myself off the
Flecainide
and Bisoprolol after my September holiday. This is the good news I wanted as I'm sure the tablets are making me feel very tired.

Stopping Flecainide - Leg Cramps
Part of AFIB treatment was
Flecainide
100x2. Heart Doctor took me off it after 8+ years because it was not helping anymore. It has been about a week since I have stopped. I have been experiencing foot and lower leg cramps in the middle of the night since. Any suggestions?

Amiodarone
I have been, for more than 2 yeas, on
Flecainide
(150 mg), Sotalol (80 mg) and Digoxin (187.5 mg) and had 3 cardioversions, the last one didn't work. My AF was on and off since then, and my energy deteriorated by the day.

FAINTING FEELING....THAT'S NEW!!!
I just wonder if my PAF is progressing to permanent as I'm having episodes almost every day lately some lasting for hours and even taking an extra
Flecainide
doesn't help in the meantime. As you guys all know these episodes leave me exhausted and very tired.
