MRI negative findings contradict PSMA PET/CT finding of likely disease recurrence within prostate.
Treated with 81 GY EBRT and
Firmagon
ADT. PSA subsequently dropped to nadir (<0.02) in Nov 2019. Since then steady rise to PSA 1.0 in July 2022. PSA doubling time from 0.5 to 1.0 in 7 months, suspicion for recurrence.

Get a bone density test if you have PC and are taking Abiraterone etc
I'm on 5 months of ADT (
Firmagon
first, RT with Lupron, then after RT added Abiraterone plus Prednisone.) GLTA

Back on the sauce
Firmagon
shots on 8/19/22. Back on the sauce... I am mulling over whether to go with abi +p or enz in combo with Orgovyx (pill lupron). Leaning toward abi +p. It seems RCT's for both show similar OS outcomes. Not interested in chemo yet but know it is around the corner.

Chemo/Pluvicto or Clinical Trial?
ADT (
Firmagon
and Zytiga) kept PSA undetectable for ~2.5 years, then PSA started to rise. I had radiation to prostate in March of this year, which did not help. I started a clinical trial in October at NYU (LAVA 1207 immunotherapy) and PSA doubled every 2 weeks and is now 2.6.

going off hormone therapy
When I started hormone therapy about a year and a half ago (zytiga and
firmagon
) I started losing weight despite eating like a horse. In researching hormone therapy., There was a nature article saying hormone therapy has a side effect of muscle loss.

To Radiate (the Prostate) or Not to Radiate (the Prostate): That is the Question.
Currently on
Firmagon
and Erleada with good response. My PSA is still declining - now at 0.63 (down from a high of 63.3), some hip pain but less than at diagnosis and very tolerable, and I generally feel very good with only hot flashes, mostly at night.

Has anyone had bloating problems with Zytiga?
Had 45 radiation treatments and have been getting monthly
Firmagon
injections. In the last week, I have had problems with bloating. I take the Zytiga first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and then 5mg Prednisone an hour later with food. Has anyone else had bloating with Zytiga.

My real question is I will be traveling overseas in a few months and my onc told me they can do a 3 months Eligard shot instead of
Firmagon
so I can travel with no worry.Apparently they do it from buttocks.Has anybody switched from
Firmagon

I'm 84 and diagnosed with PC 5 months ago. I was told I had High Risk Localized PC with a Gleason score of 8.
I have not consented yet because I was told at the outset that they favored
Firmagon
because Lupron caused a short-term rise in testosterone. My concern is that Lupron might cause a flare up even though I taken 4 months of
Firmagon
injections.

FDG uptake to cervical nodes
RP is scheduled for the end of this month, and have been on
Firmagon
and Zytiga for 6 months. The plan is to have radiation treatment in another 6 months, after recovery from RP.

Just checking to be sure 6 month break after 5 week radiation treatment is the next best step?
He just completed 5 weeks of Radiation to the whole pelvic area with a booster of radiation at some point as well while he remains on ADT (

Change of Treatments. From Firmagon To Zoladex.
I was on
Firmagon
which reduced the PSA from 19 to 0.4 then 6 months vacation from drugs. NOW the PSA has gone up to 2.4 & the MO has put me on Zoladex because it is a 3 monthly injection when
Firmagon
was one month, something to do with the hospital overloaded I guess.

Need advice on rampant metastasis.
He said there is no benefit doing all three (
Firmagon
, docetaxal and Zytiga or enzalutamide) at the same time. But I thought the triple therapy research recommended doing them together.

Thoughts on Treatment to Date
He indicated that I would likely stay on Zytiga for 2 years,
firmagon
for 3 years. I wanted to get thoughts on this duration, as I was thinking the ADT would be in the 24-26 month range (or perhaps 24 months following radiation completion).

The drugs were Degarelix [
Firmagon
], Buserelin [Suprefact], Goserelin [Zoladex], Leuprorelin [Lupron] and Triptorelin [Decapeptyl]. The data used was Eudra-Vigilance (EV) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported AEs (adverse events).

Orgovyx in the UK
One issue I discussed was potential use of Orgovyx (Relugolix) with Enzalutamide instead of
Firmagon
/ Enzalutamide combo I have been on for 2 years. I know it’s used around the world & approved by FDA & taken by many of you guys.

6yrs on ADT (Firmagon )
I have been on
firmagon
for the past six years. My PSA stays around 1.1. My testosterone stays at about five. These numbers have been steady for the past six years and I asked my doctor many times if I should take a break.
