3rd time my mum is waking up from sedation. 3rd time lucky? She is still not 'co-operating' after 4 days although she seems there to me....
I've written here a few times which was very helpful. My mum has ARDS and was put into ICU 4 weeks ago tomorrow. She was sedated and put on a ventilator, then ECMO, then after 5 days they took her off ECMO as she 'passed with flying colours' says the doctor. Then she caught Pseudomonas and was re sedated

My mum is on ecmo system. (replacement lungs) I have questions about the sedation...
My mum has been taking Methotrexate for the arthritis in her hands and has suddenly developed some kind of Pneumonia. She is now on ecmo system. (replacement lungs) so her lungs can rest and recover from the infection. Has any one else experienced this? She was on the ventilator for 2 days needing 70%

I am wondering about long term effects of Group B Strep
My son was born on April 4, 2013. He seemed totally normal and healthy. Within hours he was grunting, crying and wouldn't latch. He was evaluated and admitted to the NICU. The GBS culture grew positive in 8 hours (this is crazy to me because he is my 3rd child and every GBS test I received with each
