Xgeva experiences
I now have arrived at the
Docetaxel
stage of my cancer. Erleada, Casodex, Xtandi, Zoladex, Lupron. All have failed and my PSA is still rising. It recently went above 4. I am doing chemo for 10 sessions every three weeks. I finished the third one a week ago.

Hi folks, are the Metastatic Hormone Sensitive Prostate Cancer (mHSPC) patients here, which, treatments are at least ADT2, taken Docetaxel?
Although, the CHAARTED trial has determined - adding
Docetaxel
to ADT2 improves overall survival and prolong time to castrate resistance. A while back, I've posted adding
Docetaxel
to my treatment of Lupron and Zytiga, it seemed like a novel idea to many, is this mainstream nowadays?

Had 6 rounds of
Docetaxel
, followed by SBRT. Since he started on the Lupron, he has had ZERO body odor. No need for deodorant, anti-bacterial soap ... nothing for 19 months. Just last week, I started to catch a wiff of BO. This week it's been much worse.

Cabazitaxel vs Docetaxel
I’ve been told cabazitaxel is not as bad as
Docetaxel
, but I’m curious for those who’ve had both what would you share? Thank you in advance! - Cindy

What have you learnt about Chemo?
I am about to undergo my 6th
Docetaxel
Chemo session and it's been quite a ride. I began Chemo within 6 weeks of being diagnosed with Stage 4, GS 9, PSA 50, a Bladder tumour and Pelvic Mets in late Dec 2019.

Looking for specific MO doctor recommendations, considering changing MO, consult first.
Husband has CRPC, he "failed"
docetaxel
and enzalutamide, PSA up, scans show extensive progression in bones, not in organs; little pain right now, still active. Very motivated like the rest of you....Thanks!!!!

Advanced prostate cancer:- After Chemo, Bicalutamide also stopped working. What could be our next step?
He went through radical prostatectomy and 10 Chemo (
Docetaxel
) cycles with 150mg Bicalutamide with which PSA came down to 16 in December 2019. After that, he was put on 150mg of Bicalutamide in Feb 2020 his PSA was 6.6. In April 2020 his PSA was 6.67. On 4th June PSA was 9.9.

After chemo, PSA risen from 0.149 (Dec), 0.192, 0.396, 0.833 today. Should I be concerned?
Did 6 infusion
docetaxel
which ended in Nov. I have multiple mets at the femur, lymph nodes and spine. Then started with Lucrin and Zometa ( once every three months). PSA has been creeping up from 0.149 to 0.833. I do workout every day. Physically, I feel very well.

Ask for advice on my progress, mCRPC Cabazitaxel
My history is ADT and early
Docetaxel

Failed Docetaxel, then Xtandi, what next?
Hoping to hear from anyone with experience in next treatment/step after
docetaxel
failed and Xtandi failed? Or places for further consults? Dear husband Barry first failed
docetaxel
(5 treatments), and then Xtandi failed after 6 weeks, PSA rising. Still on Lupron, continuing Xtandi for now.

Update on my dad. Need help, hope. Docetaxel over 80?
This brings me to my question: Is there anyone over 80 here with positive
docetaxel
experience? Other options you can think of that might help him we can try. Health wise he's in great shape apart from the cancer.

early chemo
(+ radiation) for example: https://www.targetedonc.com/view/
docetaxel
-continues-to-show-profound-benefits-in-prostate-cancer He is in good health otherwise so why dont do a more aggressive treatment right away? Am I thinking wrong?

DECIPHER GRID revisited
It shows a high response to
docetaxel
. Seeing urologist this week for 6 month follow up. Plan was to start RT at 6 months given the high risk DECIPHER, without regard to GRID. I am ready to move forward with a plan but the GRID treatment probabilities give me pause.

Apalutamide experience
After finishing
docetaxel
in November I had the benefit of a treatment break until last week. Although the chemo had worked there has been some recent progression in one hip and spots on my ribs. There were a few options available but all slipped away due to coronavirus.

Retrospective Study of Treatment Sequencing
In patients who have persistent disease following
docetaxel
, urologists may wish to avoid back-to-back hormone agents, and, instead, consider integration of cabazitaxel.

Best Meds for MO CRPC?
It said cabazitaxel works better than abiraterone or enzalutamide -- for those previously treated with
docetaxel
. Doesn't apply here -- unless we go directly to chemo. Long story, but: Have any of you with CRPC but no mets skipped the receptor-blockers & gone right into chemo?
