DES (
diethylstilbestrol
), a synthetic form of estrogen, was used between the early 1940s and 1971.Women who took DES during pregnancy to prevent certain complications are at a slightly higher risk for breast cancer.This does not appear to be the case for their daughters who were exposed to DES before

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Genistein
In a paper published last month [1]: "{Endocrine disruptors}, including
diethylstilbestrol
(DES), bisphenol A (BPA), and genistein (a phytoestrogen derived from soybeans), have been implicated in the malformation of reproductive organs and later development of disease."

Transdermal Estrogen + ADT {was Zometa}
OK, but before Lupon (1985), the synthetic estrogen
Diethylstilbestrol
[DES] had been used since 1941. High doses (5 mg or higher) were associated with thromboembolic events. Today, there is interest in DES at 1 mg or thereabouts, which is considered to be less risky.
