Getting back out there
Good evening everyone. Following my ICD procedure back in March . I thought I’d do something to help me both physically and mentally. I’m looking to get going in the Couch to 5K How’s everyone finding it? I used to be very active at school in the 80’s and I’ve done a park run around 6 years ago! A

Feeling upset
I had a successful ablation in October 2020. Since then I had a couple of echo cardiograms and blood tests and my heart function improved a good deal. Was back playing tennis and at the gym with the agreement of dr. Two weeks ago I felt unwell, no appetite and tired for a couple of days. Woke up

Sleepless night.
Sleepless night. Hi everyone had 3 HA last year and one stent fitted in September. My Angina is under control but my LV hasnt improved with my meds. My Cardiologist has suggested a defibrillator be fitted so I am now waiting to hear from that Consultant. However last night was awful regarding my breathing

He may need an ICD in the future and we are worried he may have to give up his job as a builder due to the power tools etc, anyone give advice on this? Also we have booked to go abroad for the first time in years

High blood pressure.
I had my blood pressure taken at the pharmacy today. He said it was high. I was shocked as it has always been very good. The last time I last it taken the nurse said it was excellent. What causes high blood pressure Could it be Warfarin or Bisoprolol? Unless it could be because I have AF now?

Need advice. Back on A fib but feel really good!
I am a 68-year-old male that was diagnosed with a fib about five or six years ago. First it was a flutter that went into a fib. Had one ablation for a flutter and two ablations for a fib. They did not work this is when I lived in New York. I want to Dallas 4 years ago and instead of going the ablation

I’m now in limbo! Afib and High Altitude
Has anyone had problems going to high altitude with treated Afib? I live at a mile high but often visit an area that is closer to 10,000’ elevation. When I was not on any medication I was advised to not go to the higher altitude because of increased stroke risk. Now I am on Eliquis twice daily so I

AF Fraud? And has anyone found UK support for Afib diet?
Well, I joined this list a couple of months ago just after my GP told me I had AF, and appreciated your responses to my posts. It turns out he was wrong and what I have is episodes lasting several days of a high burden of ectopics (with runs resulting in resting HR up to around 130bpm) mostly PACs and

May the Fourth be with me!
Headed to my fourth ablation today after many deliberations. Cardioversion took care of an atrial tachycardia episode back in February. Per EP’s instructions, came off metoprolol and flecainide four days prior to today … and amazingly no Afib or flutter. In fact, feeling quite well. So wondering if I

AFib, Post Ablation, & Sex
I haven't seen this topic here and I don't know if it's within the guidelines but here goes: What relationship have folks here experienced between sex, Afib, and the post-Ablation period? When my Afib started, there was some correlation between having episodes after having had sex. Apparently, sexual

Questioning everything
