has anyone else's consultant been reluctant to do a laparoscopy due to previous surgery and possible risks?
my consultant thinks i have endometriosis and i currently have prostap injections. last week i had my 4th monthly injection out of the original 6 prescribed. overall they have helped a bit, probably because my periods have now stopped, but i am still in lots of pain daily. i was hoping to have a laparoscopy

Its Back Again!!
I was diagnosed with endometriosis about 14 years ago, I am 45 this year, think I must have had just about every type of hormone treatment there is, the only think that really worked was Zoladex which after several six month courses it was decided that I should stay on it as long as needed. I was unable

Long term Prostap any advice...
I went back to my gyne 15 months after my first lap under the impression that all they had found, endo, womb detached from bowel along with my right ovary being removed had been sorted. All that was done was the removal of my ovary and tube as it was bad. I have been told I can't have a hysterectomy

Prostap injections and HRT
Hi ladies I had my first injection almost 2 weeks ago. I have been on the HRT for just over 2 weeks. I started my period 3 days ago and I'm still in agony. The doctor said I might have a bit of spotting but Iam having a full blown period, 2 weeks early! Is this normal?

I started prostap yesterday, what can I expect?
I had my first prostap injection yesterday im having one a month for 6 months. What can I expect? I know the general idea of what can happen but the Internet doesn't really tell you the whole thing. Can someone who's been through it let me know how they've gotten on.

Anyone experienced depression while on Prostap injection?
Hi ladies, I had my first lap last week and was diagnosed with endo. I'm 43 now but suspect I've had it since my teens - I've always had painful, irregular periods but always been told I'd grow out of it, prescribed things like mefanamic acid (which never worked) or the Pill and basically told to go

I have been taking prostap for the last 2 months together with hrt. I had a lap last year and diagnosed with endo. I am in constant pain
And talking tramadol every day to cope. Had a period after prostap and then 10 days of heavy bleeding. Went for a scan and the gynae said my womb lining was exceptionally thick. He did blood tests on my hormones which shows the prostap worked and so has done a hysteroscopy to check for polyps etc but

Hello Ladies, has anyone else experienced depression while on Prostap and if so, how did you deal with it?
I've just been diagnosed with endo after my first lap last week, but I think I've probably had it since my early teens (now 43) as I've always had very painful , irregular periods and the last few years have had pain a week either side, as well as during, plus random twinges through the month in my stomach

Hi girlies pain killers either don't help or make me sick. I get no pain free days, struggle to stand, walk, sit still! suggestions
Only diagnosed in Oct when cyst was removed, prostap inj 3 weeks ago, still no improvement. Life is almost on hold, so little I can do. Scared I'll start to feel sad, but its getting harder to be cheerful. Suggestions welcome xx

Can Prostap somehow trigger endo when no symptoms existed before that?
I know the use of hormone treatment to try to "control" endo, and that on stopping hormone treatment, the endo can come back, but putting that aside, is it possible hormone treatment can TRIGGER endo once the treatment stopped? The Poll about how old you were when had first endo symptoms got me thinking

Prostap SR (leuprorelin)
Hi ladies, Hope you are all well. Been to see my consultant today. I had 3 options, change nothing and suffer - what a great suggestion! Keep the marina coil in and start taking another pill on top. Or try 4 weekly injections for 6 months of Prostap SR (leuprorelin) I've never heard of the latter option

Endometriosis treatment, prostap injection and hrt
I'm 24 and was diagnosed about 5 months ago. I've had a laparoscopy/operation to remove some of the endo but as I'm stage 4 I'm now having further treatment in the form of prostap monthly injection and hrt along side it. The problem is I noticed I started to feel even more unwell on the hrt, feeling

Latest lap was clear but still in agony
A year ago I had endo removed from left ovary and bowel. The pain returned after 3 months so I was put on Prostap and Livial. It got so bad a couple of weeks ago I was admitted eto hospital for pain relief and they booked me another lap. I had it yesterday and was told there is no new endo growth. I

irregular periods
I have only really been tracking my cycles since I was trying for a baby before I was diagnosed with endo s3/4. I have been on a course of prostap which I had my last injections 29/08 my first period after this (which was horrendous) was on 8th September - I never had another one until 14th December.

I am considering having the 3 month 'Prostap' injection instead of 3 x monthly injections. Has anybody had this 3 month injection?
My endo pain is unfortunately increasing and my pain killers are only taking the edge of it. I am currently waiting to have a hysterectomy and removal of my remaining ovary. But in the meantime I am considering another course of 'Prostap'. I had a 4 month course of 'Prostap' injections (4 x injections
