Yes it is normal - you are in the Flare stage of Prostap - have a read of the patient information leaflet - which is freely available online if you didn't get given it (and few of us are) - it will explain about the flare stage where the body is bombarded with chemicals that puts everything in to overdrive so much it shuts down the ovaries - it does wear off as the overload takes effect and then you have a much better idea of whether the drug is a benefit or not. This is the worst stage pains wise - but the other side effects of prostap will aready have begun and will take over in th coming weeks so make sure you are not caught out by any surprises and know what the main side effects can be. The list on the patient info leaflets cover all the main ones but there are pently other less frequently experienced ones too that may hit you from time to time.

I wish you the best of luck - remember these are super strong meds they do not sure endo, and if your quality of life on prostap is worse than experiencing a painful endo period then yo can stop the treatment at any point and not have the next dose.

You are only on it to try and improve the quality of your life - and that may not happen. hope it does of course, but it doesn't for everyone.

Thank you

I hope it works, no side effects so far; I'm also on livial hrt. I get pain every day of my cycle so feeling quite desperate; good to know that it's normal for pain to worsen before it improves though, thank you for your reply.
