Treatment for severe OCD
I don't exactly know what it is said about
DBS
in FDA's guidelines, but they consider this surgery as an exception if no other method helps.

i know this is going to sound weird but…….
Ever since I had the
DBS
I’ve had rhinitis, itchy eyes, itchy skin. I assumed that I needed to hoover up etc, get my dogs bedding changed etc. I’ve done all of these but I’m still symptomatic. I thought to myself the other day: this started pretty soon after the
DBS
.

Any info or experience with light headedness and circulation issues with PD?
My husband has PD, 9 years in, He had
DBS
surgery a year ago and that has been a miraculous positive change, however he has this symptom of getting really lightheaded when going from sitting to standing or any quick movements, ( he passed out a while ago and hit his head) or happens like playing pickleball

For those in the U.K. considering FUS v
DBS
: FUS sounds good but costs £25000 for each side if I understand that correctly.
DBS
, available on the NHS. What’s not to like?

Collagen powder and increased stiffness?
We couldn't figure out why this was happening because we haven't changed anything with medication or setting on his
DBS
device. We called his neurologist and she recommended adding Azilect.

DBS switch on news.
So with no
dbs
: I get meds that work, but with
dbs
, they don’t? Bit weird. Last night I was totally exhausted. I went to bed at about 9 and woke up at 8 without any sleeping aids whatsoever. Took a couple of Madopar but they don’t seem to have worked, at least with bradykinesia.

DBS stopped working
I’m looking to see if anyone has experienced similar
DBS
results, I had my
DBS
(GPI) surgery on 7/31 and immediately had positive results before the switch on. It felt like I was cured but I knew that this was the honeymoon phase.

I keep reading about people who -post

The problematic 2nd dose of the day
The second thought is really bad: after my first dose I go badly off (it’s been getting worse as the life of the
DBS
goes on, but this is only 5 months old. Surely I should still be in the honeymoon period now?!) and take 350 mg. But it’s always a challenge to know if it’s going to work or not.

DBS journey
Anyway, things were awful the last two days: I was slurring and couldn’t organise my sentences and so I spoke to the
DBS
nurse this afternoon: she suggested that i take the power down a couple of notches on either side. Worked out so well.

Has anyone tried “compassionate use” or “right to try” laws?
Due to his cognitive decline, he’s not eligible for
DBS
, FUS, most trials, and my guess is even stem cell therapies would cause him trouble as tiny increases in dopamine make him crazy, Curious your thoughts?

Kinder , Gentler and harmless Alternative of DBS
Seeking a kinder, gentler alternative, researchers from Korea's Yonsei University created minuscule magnets tagged with antibodies. The devices are known as nanoscale magnetic force actuators, or m-Torquers. These m-Torquers were injected into the subthalamic nucleus of mice with early- and late-stage

Working full-time with a DBS
DBS
Deep Brain Stimulation. 1) Are there any warriors who have received
DBS
and are still employed full-time? 2) Are there any IT/computers warriors who have received
DBS
and are still working? Just wondering if that's humanly possible. Thank you for your time.
