Clenil Modulite
Hi, thank you to all of you for helping me with my reaction to the above. Have seen GP this morning and now have a prescription for a new inhaler, I have to collect from pharmacy shortly, can't remember the name of the new one but fingers crossed. Still coughing and spluttering from my Clenil dose

Puzzled - stepping up preventer medicine when symptoms come on so quickly
My asthma was well controlled after a number of weeks on
Clenil
Modulite
. Then a GP suggested I step down to 1 puff twice a day from 2. All was well until I got a chest infection; I was given antibiotics and salmeterol, went back to 2 puffs, and saw some improvement within a week.

Lymphopenia after whole pelvic radiation
To anyone who received whole pelvic radiation: 16 months ago I had HDR brachytherapy followed by IMRT and whole pelvic radiation (WPR), after 7 months of lupron and zytiga (+pred) (I just finished 24 months of lupron+Z). 6 months ago I had a whole blood count (WBC) with differential, and in it I saw

Post IMRT questions
Have not been here for a while. I had IMRT about 14 months ago and have been on Lupron for a little longer. My Questions: Had a recent heart attack (minor) and have a history of heart trouble. I believe I read somewhere during my furious research phase at the beginning that Lupron may not be the best

Fenbendazole probably not working for me
In my case I think it is pretty clear that Fenbendazole has not been effective. Old History PSA 5.3, RP March 2009, Gleason 3+4, focal PNI PSA undetectable until Oct. 2011 PSA 0.658, Salvage Radiation Sept/Oct 2012 No impact on PSA, RO clueless July 2014, Nano-MRI at Radboud

Aggressive Clinical Trial Patient at JH
Hi, I’m happy to have found this network. I’m in a clinical trial at Johns Hopkins. My treatment course is more aggressive than standard and beyond obviously hoping it eradicates my cancer, It should do a tiny bit to shed more light on the efficacy of early aggressive multi modal treatment after RP

BP Meds causing bladder problems?
Hello. Recently I have had my blood pressure readings increased, not certain why, but maybe due to medications. I was taking candesartan 16mgs for a couple of years, then the doctor added plendil. I had a really bad episode where I had to be taken to A & E with BP 250/115 where the room was spinning

Seeking Post-RP Advice for Very High Risk, G9, Low PSA
I had RP in Aug 2019 at 56 years of age. Pre-surgery PSA was 5.3. Pathology showed G9, negative margins, ECE, seminal vesicle invasion and 1 positive lymph node, stage T3bN1. Based on my 3mth PSA of <0.03, my urologist is taking a wait and see approach to follow on treatment. My 6 month follow up is

Stopping Casodex before stopping Lupron
I am on day 30/34 of IMRT Salvage Radiation. I started Bicalutimide just prior to starting Leuprolide Acetate back in November. I have tolerated the ADT treatment fairly well with minimal side effects. A Decipher test was performed midway through this per my request and my Decipher score came back

Secondary Cancer?
Husband diagnosed G9, 2004. IMRT, Brachytherapy, ADT, Provenge. Recently a mass near the ureter, 4.2cm was seen on a Ct scan. Needle biopsy; carcinoma w/squamous differential. Maybe a secondary cancer, possibly caused by excessive radiation. Getting a second review of slides. Anyone with comments or

What is major source of PSA Expression after ADT Vacation?
Once one has become PSA undetectable, with prostate zapped with IMRT, and goes on ADT vacation what is the most likely cause of increased PSA expression? Micro tumors in blood? Remnants of prostate tumor (if any), or existing mets?

Hmm... Why am I on Zytiga?
Here is an email that I sent to my MSK MO yesterday (Dr S is my RO). I'm blessed to have both of them caring for me. They give me all the time that I need and answer every question I ask, with patience and clarity. Just want feedback from our great forum. "Happy (belated) New Year, Doc! I'm prepping

SBRT
Regarding SBRT and no spaceoar. Procedure completed today for markers however Spaceoar was tried to be injected but due to prostate space between rectum it was too small a space. Now not sure what to do. RO is considering 28 day IMRT vs SBRT since no protection in place. Incredibly agitated that placement

Non standard Firmagon dosing effective for 3 months from single injection.
My ongoing one-person trial of non-standard dosing for Firmagon (degarelix) for ADT continues: I'm now 3 months out from a single injection of 120Mg. in abdomen fat. (Not the usual starting dose of 240 mg.) as short term adjuvant ADT for RT to pelvic nodes. Total testosterone level is still castrate

When to start ADT for metastatic disease
I was wondering when started ADT and what was the threshold and/or symptoms that made you decide to start? As a little background, I was diagnosed back in June 2008 with Gleason 8 - my PSA was about 4 at the time but had risen quickly. I had robotic surgery in Sept. 2008. Small encapsular extension and

PET PSA etc
Reading some of the recent posts has me thinking again about a couple of issues. So I thought it made sense to ask the group for confirmation, ideas??? Not sure it I mentioned/asked before but... I have started seeing a medical oncologist as recommended on this list. I do like his "take it slow" approach
