Cardioversion
Has any of you ever done a
cardioversion
to treat tachycardia? Is it painful? Does it usually work? Maybe I will have the procedure tomorrow, and I am a little worried.

Spike in blood pressure
I was diagnosed with AF a year ago and had a
cardioversion
in September 2021. Since then I have had normal rhythm and no problems. But I’m always checking heart rate etc on watch and blood pressure on home monitor. Blood pressure normally between 110/70 and 125/85 so generally good.

Some input from the community
Just wanted to get some of you folks opinion on something. I started my Afib journey back in 1999 and after countless Cardioversions, homeopathic regimens, anti-arrythmia drug regimens, lifestyle changes nothing has worked until recently when my doctor put me on 200mgs a day of Amiodarone. Due to have a
cardioversion
with general anaesthetic early June to hopefully get my heart rate back to normal. I need to have hernia surgery as soon as possible after this procedure and wondered how long after do I have to wait before going ahead with hernia op?

To Kardia or not to Kardia............
Since October last year, I’ve used the Heartmate once a week on the advice of the ward sister when my
cardioversion
was done and have not detected AFib despite being able to do so previously. I feel great and cycle up yo 30 miles a week with no apparent ill effects.

after my
cardioversion
I had a follow up and I had good BP, good HR at rest and so I was told to stop taking blood thinners.

Increased gluten sensitivity - Is this age or anticoagulants?
Hi - I am 48 and in good health. I have been on Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) for about 6 years. I have been in persistent A-fib since November 2021. Since 2016 have had 5 cardioversions and 2 ablations - my afib is most likely caused by stenosis of my aorta and mitral valves (just stressing the point that my

ablation for goddaughter at last!
At last my beautiful goddaughter has her date for ablation for SVT! She is now 12 and has been on flecanide since the age of 3. Yes you read that right...3. Has to be made up into a syrup for her as not usually given to under 12s. 8 cardioversions over the years with heart rate well over 200-250

Feeling Beaten
Feel so beaten & deflated, following years of AF, 2 disastrous ablations, became really ill in March with AF again & had 2 cardioversions since April (the second one was June!) Having done fantastic in losing 2 stone, not being able to get upstairs to walking 3 miles thought I’d cracked it - early

Post Cardioversion Issues
Thank you to all those who helped and advised over weekend - saw consultant tonight - ecg shows some delayed heart actions/extra beats but not AF thankfully but we’re keeping meds the same at moment and maybe a new ambulatory BP check as if stop Flecainide could go back in to AF, reducing or stopping

Hello everyone, after a hair raising 9 weeks of persistent AF I was cardioverted on Friday back into NSR which is brilliant However, I’ve had a permanent headache/migraine needing painkillers and anti sickness roughly every six hours! Not only that I’ve had chest/abdominal pain which I can’t tell if

Mind-Map of Lone AF, Thyroid, Gilbert's and Autism
But the importance of B12, Folate and B complex were just one plank of the awakening I had, having suffered a TIA at the beginning of the year, following spontaneous
cardioversion
from that protracted post Christmas AF spell. I was denied anticoagulation until then because my CHADs was too low.

Ablation tomorrow and in AF more than usual!
This is my first ablation although having had 1
cardioversion
. Is it normal for anxiety to set in and cause more AF than would normally be the case with an upcoming ablation?

Amiodorone
I had my 2nd
Cardioversion
October 2021 and then I was put on Amiodorone for just 6 months. I read all about the effects (negative ) it could cause and to be honest I was worried. They decided to leave it for one more month and now for the past 3 days I no longer take it.
