I was diagnosed with AF a year ago and had a cardioversion in September 2021. Since then I have had normal rhythm and no problems. But I’m always checking heart rate etc on watch and blood pressure on home monitor. Blood pressure normally between 110/70 and 125/85 so generally good. However I just did a reading, not sure why and my blood pressure was 141/91. I’ve been quite lazy today and eaten a whole pot of salted peanuts. Could this be the reason or something else?

Dear Fondant,
Very hard to say if something is wrong on just one measurement, you really have to take a few then take the average of them.
If after doing that you are still worried at the results then contact 111 and give them the reading and follow their advice.
Salted peanuts? A whole pot? I will never judge you {nor should anyone} but you know that the salt part ain’t any good for you, but the peanuts are {in small quantities}
What I do {as a rare treat] is empty them into a bowl and wash them under a tap to get rid of the surplus salt as most it is just added to the nuts, beware of some that are cooked {roasted}in salt then more added.
Take care
