Severe Dilated Cadiomyopothy
I have had 1 failed
cardioversion
(electrocution) and am on the long waiting list for a second. The consultant says that I have to “accept” my atrial fibrillation if the
cardioversion
is unsuccessful. Unfortunately, for him - I’m not quite ready for the 7th stage of grief just yet.

Is Ventolin a trigger.
Hi All, I was diagnosed with agib in November, had successful
cardioversion
in April and I've maintained a sinus rhythm. I'm asthmatic, since childhood (I'm 63 now) and I find that my ventolin inhaler sends my heartbeat haywire.

Coming off Amiodarone
After being on amiodarone for about 2 years without it having the desired effect of prolonging a
cardioversion
, my cardiologist has advised, via my GP, that I should stop taking it as of now.

Arterial fibrillation
Just before Christmas I had a heart check up and they decided I should have
cardioversion
but because of my condition after all this time it would not be wise to follow up with ablation surgery.

Persistent afib
So I am worried now as I have never been offered any ablation or
cardioversion
and when I finally saw a cardio nurse in December he said I was better off in persistent afib.

Heartrate after a Cardioversion
My resting heartrate is 52bpm after
Cardioversion
has returned me to rhythm.I am still on Amiodarone and having difficulty with throbbing headache while resting and short of breath/tightness in chest when walking. I usually walk at 3mph but can only walk at 2mph since heartrate has dropped.

Starting on Flecainide
I was given a
cardioversion
and prescribed tildiem. I asked my GP if I could have a PIP in case it happened again so he emailed a consultant for advice who has put me on 100mg of flecainide twice a day. Does anyone with experience of taking it think that is a bit too much too soon?

Amiodarone
Following the
cardioversion
my EP reluctantly put me on Amiodarone with the intent to wean me off in 4-6 months. He started me at 200 mg and after a month cut that back to 100 mg.

AF & hiatus hernia
One
cardioversion
later which restored nsr for a couple of days only and I am 3 weeks away from an ablation. Having only read through my scan results after they were made available I have noted they have recorded the presence of a large hiatus hernia ! No one had told me about this.

So my cardioversion on the 13th January lasted 3 days. Went back into AF asleep on the the third night.
She was concerned about my referral to Dr Hunter for a mini maze, and questioned why no one had talked to me to discuss what having coronary disease and AF together might mean if anything, or to see what would be next in the plan ie
cardioversion
with medication etc.

Ablation update and reassurances.
I felt worse than ever before but Doc said to take 200mgs amiodarone on the 5th and would schedule a
cardioversion
if I didn't go back into NSR in next couple days. Well, lo and behold, went into NSR on the 6th and been afib free since.

Lone Paroxysmal AF or Hypothyroid Symptom?
And, long story short, was put on a beta-blocker ("rate control is as good as rhythm control"), which made me feel about 90, and left stuck in AF (pending a return to the UK - which pretty much ended my career), because
cardioversion
had to wait on weeks of warfarinisation at that time.

2 weeks after ablation - ectopics going a bit crazy!
Should I persevere without requesting further treatment or perhaps
cardioversion
? Should I bother my local a&e again when the ectopics are raging? Last few days even moderate exercise, usually not a problem for me, has become uncomfortable.

stay positive….
After having A.Fib for almost two years I had a
cardioversion
done on the 15 Dec last supported by six months on Amiodarone. My heart rate is now in Normal Sinus Rhythm and so far all's good. Had the Bisoprolol reduced from 3.75 twice a day to 1.25 twice a day and feel a lot more comfortable.

Still in HF?
Had
Cardioversion
and Cardiologist switched Beta blocker to Sotolol. 3 months passed and Echo showed EF increased to 45%. Still in NSR, and Cardiologist said stop taking Lasix. I am trying to lead healthier lifestyle. I can walk for an hour per day and don't have too many other restrictions.
