Hoping to turn a corner on this long road...sorry in advance for a long intro...it's been a long road
He just did 2 months of
Calquence
, hoping that would work as a monotherapy. But it hasn't done enough to give him quality of life. So he starts Gazyva (obinutuzumab) on Wednesday this coming week (9/9). I've researched the heck out of it.

Searching for patients using calquence
Will begin
calquence
in one more week after 24 months on imbruvica...heard that side effects are less severe. My only concern are headaches which I very rarely suffer from. Any of you members experienced this switch?

Imbruvica-related issues: Qs + comments
* I’ve read that
Calquence
is considered the second generation of Imbruvica and that it generally seems to be at least as well tolerated as Imbruvica. Have you come across that information? * Is there any reason why we started on Imbruvica, instead of
Calquence
?

Greetings CLLers! I am an 81yo newbie to this blog from MD, USA; wed intensely 61 yrs to a compulsively positive 80yo lady (3c+11gc+19ggc).
My next consult with my oncologist in 3 weeks will address my progress taking
Calquence
for 5 months and consideration of beginning Gazyva monthly infusions. I would appreciate comment on my approach, and council regarding combined
Calquence
-Gazyva chemo.

Hello, I'm new and happy to have come across Health Unlocked.
I was diagnosed with CLL in 2011 and after a relapse my hematologist started me late May on Acalabrutinib (
Calquence
). Initially I had issues with oral blood blisters, but things have settled down. No other side effects. I'm interested to see how others are going on this medication?

Joint Pain
My Dr switched me to
Calquence
to see if I would get any relief. Joint pain continues. It is affecting my sleep. PCP ran blood tests and saw nothing to cause joint pain. Any insights/advice? Thanks

I need patient reviews for
Calquence

He was about to prep for stem cell transplant... however, they found some more abnormal cells after a bone marrow biopsy so they put him on

Three-drug GIV combo promising against high-risk CLL - Patients with deletion 17p or TP53 (from EHA Congress)
He pointed out that second-generation Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitors such as acalabrutinib (
Calquence
) may pose a lower risk of atrial fibrillation than the BTK inhibitor ibrutinib used in the CLL2-GIVe study. In general, however, the rationale for the combination is sound, Dr.
