Anxiety after severe sthma attack
Hi I haven't been on this forum for a long time but I was wondering if you very wise and lovely people could provide me with some help!?! Last month, I had my first and probably worst attack I have ever had in the last 2 years. It was my first admission to adults and to be honest adults was awful.

Some questions
Hi My son is 2yrs 4mths and has had asthma since 11 months old. To start with it was a 'viral wheeze' and it wasn't too bad. He then got pneumonia last may and things pretty much went on from there. I have a few questions that I am hoping someone will help with. 1) he was on preventer becotide 50mcg

3rd visit to a&e in 3 months
My son is 3 yrs old and was in a&e on Monday with wheezyness and rapid breathing. He was admitted overnight 4 weeks ago. Doctors reluctant to diagnose asthma although asthma and allergies common in my family. Monday was scary as he fell asleep during nebuliser and was very tired after a sleepless night

Aeorchamber vs Nebuliser
Hi I'm new here and am feeling a deep sense of relief to be amongst others who can talk about asthma in this way... I'm going to make my first post about how the preventers and relievers are taken. Does anyone have any thing to say about whether spacers or nebulisers are more effective? I've had conflicting

Hello, I am new to this website and forum, but so glad I found it! I was diagnosed with cough variant asthma some 11 years ago (39 now) and was never quite convinced that any of the dr's I was seeing were at all sure what to do with someone who wasn't wheezing. I now have a veritable pharmacy in my

Hello, I have a 3.5 year old daughter who was diagnosed with asthma last year, (only after I paid to see a private consultant after 3 years of trips to A&E and keydoc). After reading the very helpful postings and information on this website, I am beginning to think that I may not be doing all the things

Need to blow off steam...
Sorry about this peeps, but I really need to blow off some steam about this and I just need some empathy here. OK, because of my asthma and it's severity, I am often unable to go out or do an awful lot and have days when all I want to do is sleep and recover from the events that have proceeded it. I
