My introduction
I had
brachytherapy
in 2004, which failed, my PSA nadir being 2.43. Years of hormone ablation followed (Androcur, Lupron and Stilboesterol, but not Zoladex, which I could not tolerate). My cancer showing resistance in 2010, I had a radical prostatectomy on medical advice.

Mrs. Tom-36
He has had many treatments over the ensuing years, beginning with
brachytherapy
(radioactive “seed” implants) followed by external beam radiation in Cancer Year (CY) 1. In CY 3 he began hormonal therapy (Lupron Depot injections).

My Story
Fast-forward to now...I lost 200 lbs and have my 33'' waist back, was able to treat my cancer with
Brachytherapy
, my PSA is staying below 1, so now I assume I have more than 10 years to live.

Been "through the mill".
Since then, have had BCC (skin cancer), about 6 years ago had prostate cancer and received
Brachytherapy
, had renal cancer 9 months ago and had left kidney, ureter and bladder cuff removed. I am going to be 80 years of age later this year and am still a SURVIVOR. My goal,is to hit 85.
