How do I choose between Cyberknife (SBRT) monotherapy vs HDR Brachytherapy+EBRT?
M59, Gleason 4+3 (second opinion confirmed by Jonathan Epstein at John Hopkins), PSA7.8 average past 1 year, T2C stage. Haven't been operated or radiated before. Currently am being offered: 1) 5 fraction Cyberknife (SBRT) therapy that is concentrated to the prostate. 2) 1 time high dose rate Bracytherapy

Considering permanent seed implants. It's recommended that baby's and pregnant women not be close to the patient to be safe, until the radiation is dissipated. My question is....what about pets like a dog???

What did your learn about yourself after being diagnosed with endometrial cancer?
I was diagnosed with Stage 1A, grade 3 serous endometrial cancer and while it was in the early stage, due to the serous diagnosis, the treatment recommendation was chemo and
brachytherapy
, which I went through for 4 months.

Combination therapy works great (Stone et al 2020)
Not sure if the experts in this group have seen the May 2020 article in which Stone et al find that combination therapy, external beam radiation plus
brachytherapy
plus ADT, gives excellent results for control of high risk prostate cancer (confined to the region in and around the prostate) Biologically

What ADT duration would you use?
Lazarev et al mention that 9 months can be acceptable in cases like mine (high-risk, no metastasis, treated with high doses of radiation achievable with
brachytherapy
boost) !

End Colostomy
So it looks like endometrial cancer and subsequent
brachytherapy
resulting in radiation proctitis in my anal canal is going to end up in an end colostomy. Does anyone here have experience of dealing with this please?

My treatments to date
Recently had 37 rounds of RT to all sites, and
Brachytherapy
. Will be having 10 more rounds of RT next month (EBRT). Any thoughts on my treatment decision path? Good or bad?

Trying to decide if I will continue ADT after 9 months.
Then did HDR
brachytherapy
two separate days, two treatments each day. Had follow up visit three months later at which time PSA was .03. Am now scheduled for a 3 month Lupron injection April 1st. Really don’t want to continue side effects.

How was your experience with the healthcare system during treatment for endometrial cancer? Were you satisfied with your treatment team?
They were all incredible professionals who were with me all the way through surgery,
brachytherapy
and chemotherapy and beyond. While the treatment aspect was difficult, I had a great experience with these physicians and never had any concerns about the care I was given. They were the best.

Optimal Management of a Man With Recurrent Prostate Cancer
He underwent
brachytherapy
with a PSA nadir of 2-3 ng/ml. PSA gradually increased to 10 ng/ml by 2017. He was asymptomatic and imaging with CT and bone scan were negative, so his team opted to continue monitoring PSA. Ultimately he presented again in 2020 with PSA of 42 ng/ml.

"Prostate cancer lives as it is born" question (Radiation resistance)
My psa started to elevate in 2015 a a faster rate, when my PSA was at 10, I had IMRT and high dose
brachytherapy
. Two months later my PSA was down to 5, then I felt really sick for about three days, then went back to feeling normal but after that my PSA tests started showing increasing numbers.

Gleason 6, PSA low but biopsy sectors increased
Urologist recommends
brachytherapy
based on increased number of positive biopsy regions as "growth". Oddly, radiation oncologist, if forced to choose, recommends further Active Surveillance (AS). I'll be getting MRI and both germline and Decipher biopsy genotyping.

Types of radiation. Which is best for pelvic bone mets?
Brachytherapy
makes me nervous as it requires perfect execution it seems, and so that leaves ERBT which seems to have a few flavors including Proton. Any thoughts or experiences you could share would be much appreciated?

Any information about sensitivity to CT scans on parts of body that have been affected previously by Radiotherapy and Brachytherapy?
H all, I've not posted a question on here before but have responded to a post. I had Radiotherapy for cervical cancer 16 years ago and have had gastro problems helped by cholestagel, urinary and vaginal problems too. Two months ago I had to have CT scans for investigation. I hadn't realised they were
