Update On My Metastatic Prostate Cancer
I started treatment with Lupron +
Bicalutamide
in November 2018. Since then my PSA has dropped sharply: February 28, 2019: 0.17, May 31, 2019: 0.10, and September 5, 2019: 0.07. When I saw my oncologist in June 2019, he mentioned holiday from ADT.

Aromatase & CRPC cells
"
Bicalutamide
{Casodex} treatment significantly increased aromatase expression, and CYP19A1 expression positively correlated with estrogen responses and epithelial-mesenchymal transition."

Hello to all from someone with RP, ADT, and IMRT
I was assigned to a radiation oncologist and received 6 weeks of ADT (Lupron and
bicalutamide
) prior to 40 radiation treatments. I opted to stay on ADT until April of 2018 as I found studies that showed slightly better outcomes with extended ADT.

Rising PSA after RP, how common is this?
My SO doc put me on ADT (
bicalutamide
). I also have a new bone scan, CAT scan and PSA test scheduled over the next few weeks and then an appointment with a radiology oncologist in early November. I’m not sure what to expect from from this point on. Any thoughts?

Celebrating with a visit for Canadian Ducoral
ON Monday I will start on Degarelix, (my
bicalutamide
with dutasteride regimen failing after 4+ years.) I'll probably keep the dutasteride as it keeps adrenal androgens from being metabolized to the most active form. (DHT) Wondering if estradiol would be a good addition at this time.

Advice on an MO at Johns Hopkins?
Well, I have unexplained elevated LFTs suggestive of hepatocellular injury (normal baseline pre-treatment)- initially thought due to
bicalutamide
plus inhibition of its metabolic pathway in the liver by grapefruit juice as upon discontinuing both at the start of May the LFTs dropped immediately and by

Is Proton Pencil Beam an option for salvage radiation of a tumor located in left seminal vesicle and extending to rectum wall?
If this is not an option, I am planning to start 150- mg
Bicalutamide
monotherapy along with 10 mg of tamoxifen to reduce my PSA which is now 57.1 having increased from 34.7 in April when I was at NIH for the latest scan. Your thoughts please. Thank you.

Update on my disease: <0.1 PSA today
. - started ADT in April with Eligard,
Bicalutamide
(30 days). Added Zytiga and prednisone early-May. Long term ADT 2 to 3 years planned. - image-guided IMRT, 38 treatments, started April, finished June 18. That brings us to today. I feel extremely lucky to have such a good result at this point.

An Update On My Father's PCa - Test Results/Treatment Plan
ADT would be
Bicalutamide
and Eligard. I asked for a PET scan and he said there was no clinical reason to do so. On Monday we will be travelling to University of Michigan's Rogel Cancer Center for a second opinion.

Elevated LFTs
Anyone think the grapefruit-
bicalutamide
combo or something else I am taking could cause such marked liver enzyme rise, and if so is this typically reversible? Or does this seem more like a sign of liver mets?
