My GP changed my Meds
After moving from Edinburgh to London, my new GP has changed my asthma meds, I used to have a Bricanyl Turbohaler (0.5mg), Pulvinal Beclometasone Diproprionate (0.2mg), and a green inhaler, and Beconase nasal spray. Now my new GP has changed me over to Qvar Easi-Breathe 100ug, and Ventolin Evohaler

CLENIL MODULITE
Hello Darlings! Has anyone else recently been taken off the Beclomethasone inhaler and been prescribed Clenil Modulite instead? I only ask because every time I go to the pharmacy they never have it in stock and have to order it in and I have to wait for flippin' days to get it. It's really tedious picking

Help with understanding increasing ICS
Hi I am just completing my online asthma course. The last section I completed was seeing the patient with increased symptoms due to an URTI etc. I understand how you temporarily increase the dose of beclometasone but how does this work with the combined inhalers as you would be increasing the dose of

symbicort inhaler contents
Hi, I'm currently studying for the asthma diploma via educaton for health's elearning course. I've been reading (both education for healths coursework, and BNF) about symbicort and I've become confused as to its contents. Both the BNF and education for health agree that it contains Formeterol as oxis

ICS help
Hi all I'm new to asthma, currently doing my online diploma. The last section we covered was patients who might attend due to worsening symptoms with URTI etc. I understand how you temporarily increase beclometasone etc, but how does this work with combination inhalers where you would also be increasing

Salmeterol and Crushing Chest Pain
I really need some advice... I have been struggling with asthma since February this year. I have been on a variety of different inhalers and to cut a long story short, none of them seem to agree with me. Salbutamol caused me heart palpitations and Beclometasone caused me anxiety, muscle aches and

Feeling better already
I saw my GP yesterday and she changed my preventer from pulmicort to symbicort. I've only had a couple of doses but the addition of formoterol really seems to be doing the trick. Last night I had the best night's sleep I've had in ages and I'm feeling great. My peak flows are back up to my 610L/min pb

Advice needed on asthma change
Hopefully some of you who read this may be able to help me (and if not anyone can maybe learn from my story); I have had asthma all my life; I had been using two (inhaler) puffs 2 at night and 2 in the morning of the inhaler Beclomethasone, Early in 2009 I was dismayed when the Beclomethasone was discontinued

Sandoz salbutamol inhaler question
View hulloo all! Up until now I've been using a generic salbutamol CFC-free inhaler that looks like a ""normal"" inhaler. The last two inhalers I was given (I'm prescribed them in pairs, presumably so each prescription lasts a couple of months) were made by Sandoz, and they look a little different.

Hello, fairly newly diagnosed, bit confused
Hi all, I'm new to the ranks of the asthmatic, though I have probably had asthma since I was a small kid. (School nurse suggested it, my mum thought it more likely I was ""just unfit"", I lived in a London borough where asthma was over-diagnosed by school nurses). After a cold last year turned into
