Drugs for Parkinson's- how do you spell their names?
This is not really a question, more an attempt to answer it. I have noticed many different spellings being used, and I bought a book about Parkinson's which includes drug names. The most commonly used drugs seem to be Madopar Sinemet Mirapexin also known as pramipexole Requip

experiencing invisible tremors
I have for the most part invisible tremors,it took longer to get a dx, but the tremors are every bit as real, and are starting to move out. I take requip three times a day, azilect once a day and amantadine twice a day. It helps a lot but the tremors are strong in the morning, anyone else have much experience

Pains in Hip, Knees and Thighs
Background - I have ben taking Sinemet Plus for about 6 years, Amantadine for about the same and Azilect for about 4 years Question - As I have seen many references to pains in the hip and knee (like arthritis) and thigh (like you've been overworking them) I wondered if these pains are a side effect

Mom's energy level is dropping. She started the Amantadine at Easter. It was wonderful, but now she's tired. Will it get better again.
She does look better in her face, younger even. But she's back to staying at home, worn-out, even though the tremors have improved. I'm worried about the weakness. Does anyone have the same experiences?

Hello from a new boy
Hello Everyone - I have been diagnosed for 9 years and am better now than i was 4 years ago. I put that down to seeing a marvellous Neuorlogist in Cambridge (not my home town) who recommended Azilect as an adddition to my Sinemet Plus and Amantadine and to change my Ropinirole to Requip XL. This change

I don't have a tremor. My symptoms are all movement related and I have
problems with fine motor movements in my hands. I was on Sinemet 25/100 (1 1/2 tabs 4 x day). At my last visit I told my specialist that I didn't think the meds worked as I never have on/off times. I saw my specialist on Tuesday after being off my meds for 48 hrs. He is now not sure if I have Parkinsons

Shall I stop taking my medication?
Last night I felt the bed was moving under me and today sitting in the armchair I felt the chair was moving under me. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Could it be the pills I'm taking?I take 3 madopar and 2 amantadine tablets per day, should I stop taking the pills or cut down?

I have noticed that a lot of y'all are on requip XL but at a low dosage. Is it because of the other meds you are taking that you
don't need as much of it? Requip was the first meds (along with Zelapar) my neuro 's put me on. The highs and lows of the regular requip about did me in. So, I've been on the XL for a few years- still does a # on my stomach but it works most days. I just started amantadine and am wondering if (all goes

Has anyone else had swollen ankles and skin rashes from amantadine? And do the good effects of amantadine disappear over time?

I wanna new Drug (one that won't make me sick)
You said it Huey; one that won't make me crash my car or make me feel three feet thick. Sounds like Mr. Lewis had some knowledge of Parkinson's drugs. MIRAPEX a nonergot dopamine agonist, was the first drug prescribed for me.Side effects include: extreme drowsiness, falling asleep suddenly, even

Restlessness. Anything that can be done to help?
Dear all, Dad has become super restless in the last couple of days, he is constantly crossing and uncrossing his legs, sitting down, standing up (losing his balance) and pacing about. He says it feels "bloody awful". He looks so distressed and looks to be really suffering. I know it might be daft to
