Muscle cramp in legs and feet
Hi all Not sure if anyone could fill in the gaps here but I remember reading about this somewhere, just not sure what it said. I have been using Salbutamol and Atrovent nebs for a few days. Last night and today I have experienced the most painful cramps in my muscles (mostly legs and feet). The cramps

Coming off prednisolone??? (long)
My asthma has been a lot worse lately. It hasn't been bad enough to go to hospital (last time was June & July last yr d/t a cold and then the flu). So 3 weeks ago I had to put myself on prednisolone - trigger was/is heartburn - at least I presume so, my asthma gets worse when my heartburn increases.

Where I went from here
Old story where to go from here. Went to hospital Asthma Nurse for Allergy testing. Allergic to cats (not got any), indigenous trees Oak, Beech, Birch (ironic moved to country for fresh air from city), Grass (the walk on kind), Housedust mites. She was very informative and spent sometime getting to know

At last. Went to Drs yesterday after 3 days of phylocontin seretide not working soon as got in there nebulized with atrovent (worked in the past). Suggested mebulizing at home, as was much worse on sunday and managed myself puffing on the old ventolin like Thomas the Tank. Researched and can order online

Symbicort SMART, histamine challenge test, ethanol free atrovent
Hi everyone, Several questions here. Just wondered if anyone has any positive or negative views to share about Symbicort SMART. I've just been switched from Seretide to Symbicort. I understand the principle, however I'm slightly paranoid about bone density at the moment (with good reason), and I'm

Atrovent
I have been advised by a Paramedic this evening that I should be taking my Atrovent inhaler through the volmatic spacer and not the Aerochamber Plus spacer device. I am not doubting what the Paramedic told me but I was just wondering what everyone else does. Does the Atrovent inhaler work any better

Side Effects
I know that Atrovent is non-steroidal, but it is possible that in its inhaled form it makes you gain weight? Also, is the amount of steroid in a Seretide 250 inhaler enough to make you gain weight? Or is it just oral steroids? Thanks in advance Emz x

Saline Nebs
Could someone tell me what saline nebs are supposed to do please? During my recent admission they used them regularly (as well as salbutamol and atrovent nebs) but haven't continued them or anything similar - I just wondered what their purpose was as it was never explained?

How much blue is TOO much?
Okay - sorry if this has been answered before and for such a long post. I'm struggling a bit at the moment, have upped my seretide to double (I'm allowed in the short term although it's unlicensed) and started steroids again yesterday (all according to my action plan). BUT, I'm having to take a lot of
