Ongoing asthma
Hi, I wondered if other people live with daily asthma symptoms? I've had continuing asthma symptoms for about six months now and the doctors just seem to have no answer and that I get on with it. I'm so tired of going to the doctors and think what is the point now of going back. I'm on seretide 250

I would like to share my story to invite any advice. I was diagnosed with COPD three years ago, but I already knew my smoking was slowing me down. I can't cope with this much more!
Evening all, I hope everyone is ok. I have just been discharged from hospital, and I'm struggling again (been to acute medicine clinic today for nebs). I've lost count of the number of admissions now but I have just had enough, of bouncing in and out of hospital, of not being able to work...not being

Palpitations with Atrovent/Spiriva vs Ventolin
So - not looking for medical advice, more personal experience. My cons had me taking Atrovent for preference over Ventolin; he was considering Spiriva if I am still not controlled after this pred course of 4 weeks. Then when I was admitted a few weeks ago the resp reg decided to start Spiriva anyway

Atrovent and Spiriva?
Hi, My gp has just changed me over to spiriva to take once a day from atrovent 4 times a day. Was wondering whether anyone has any experiences as whether it has helped get more control? I have been told that the spiriva replaces atrovent as it is a long acting version of the same drug. Compared

Hi My son Thomas is on seretide 125, nedocromil, flixonase and ventolin. Since the weather started turning he already has had 1 course of steroids and is now on his first admission of this autumn/winter season. Last year he had quite a few admissions. Is anyone on Atrovent inhaler - have you found

Brittle asthma, Anaphylaxis and the royal Brompton
Hello all, I haven't posted on here in quite some time, I'd sort of given up on trying to get any advice about my asthma. Over the eight week summer holiday period, I spent four weeks in hospital. After my last admission a couple of weeks ago I went home feeling tired, but my chest felt good, for over

When to take nebs
Hi, I'm probably being very silly here but sometimes I don't know when to take my nebs. I have had a hard time lately with my asthma and suspected bronchiectasis (not diagnosed yet as I am waiting for a CT scan but a lot of my symptoms point to it). I have days where I feel fine and days where I feel

Two steps forward and one back
Hi all, Sorry if this turns into a bit of a moan but I feel like I am at a bit of a dead end asthma wise when I know it should not be this way. For those who don't know, basically, I have had asthma for over 25 years (since I was 2) and have been up and down the treatment ladder including being on

Getting the best treatment now.
I was diagnosed 8 years ago with copd and was prescribed salbutamol and atrovent. I struggled with my breathing and on more than one ocassion I have asked my doctor if there was any other medicine that might make a difference and he always maintained that I was on the right medication for my condition
