set pattern to PAF
I have had PAF for about 9 years. Symptoms tolerable but the attacks last about 12 hours. No diagnosed cause and cannot take medication owing to low heart rate just on apaxiban. Heart deemed to be too healthy to have an ablation & run even the low risk. I get an attack every 3 weeks, used to be less

Worrying
I feel my Prox. AF has changed over the last 6 months. It now last most of the day being in and out of AF and the periods when I’m not in it I have a resting heart rate of around 100. Just as I go back into Sinus rhythm I feel really ill as though I’m going to black out and start to lose my focus for

Since diagnosis in 2018, I have pretty much run the gamut of affordable SOC treatments and I finally got my Onco to agree that the treatments were doing more harm than good (based on side effects and endlessly climbing PSA). I have continual gut pain. Is this type of pain what we hear about as

P-Afib from cancer treatment causes different part of heart to misfire.
Hello Everyone,So I was diagnosed with P-Afib nearly 7 years ago. Beta blockers were a disaster and made me exceedingly ill.....Once on a calcium channel blocker, Verapamil, things however settled down. At the time I was told Ablation isn't an option for me as it could be my heart is misfiring due to

Waiting for Cardioversion
After 2 successful ablations RF in 2010 and Cryo in 2018 AF returned sometime last year when I noticed that my HR was taking some time to come down after exercise. I had GP appointment in August and EP on 6/12/22. ECG on that day confirmed in AF followed by Holter monitor in January which shows the AF

I have had PAF for 22 years. Very light burden for 20 years. Over past two years episodes have increased in frequency. It’s now once a week mostly. On Donedarone for 11 months to stop syncope. Works well for that but recent 24 hour holter monitor showed a few 6 second pauses in SNR. I have bradycardia

What comes first? |Silent AFib
Hi, First time posting in this hub. Previously, no issues with my heart and previously pasted all tests; no artery disease or stenosis. Out of nowhere, I had my first AFIB episode in December of last year. Restored to NSR in 30 minutes with medication. I have had 2 more, once during a stress

High diastolic blood pressure
Been having issues over the last 6 months (and increasingly severe for the last 3 months after I had COVID) with feeling dizzy and like I am about to faint, with some shortness of breath and a pounding chest. I have had Arterial Fibrillation since October 2021, was taken ill and had really high infection markers. On medication, had a Cardioversion in August last year, when I woke up was told back in rhythm, however, step outside the hospital, and it came back with a vengeance, (seems never happened that quickly

Slow pulse after ablation
My normal sinus pulse is 55 to 60 resting. Digoxin and flecanide have sent it even lower. Also meds are giving me all sorts of different rhythms and pauses. My cardiologist will do an ablation but says I may need a pacemaker after. Anyone with experience of bradycardia from drugs ?

Hello everyone. I just joined and was asked to introduce myself so I am simply pasting the bio I wrote when joining. It pretty much describes my story. I will read more of the existing posts before I start asking a lot of questions. I look forward to being part of the group! Bio: I began having episodes

questioning plan of care
My AFib usually starts with a few ectopics and the an irregular HR but usually low 60/80 I’m running out of triggers !! Mostly it just happens randomly , I’m seeing my ep cardiologist on Friday and I’m going to ask if there is a plan of care or do I just carry on till it gets worse . I am on apixaban

afib/svt
I had ablation for svt around 7 years ago and then cryoablation for afib 6 years ago. I am taking both a blood thinner and a small dose of beta blocker While I have felt an occasional off beat it wasn’t until Friday that I entered tachycardia of around 109. I had not taken the beta blocker the night

Second Successful Ablation with Dr. Natale
I am now one week past my second ablation with Dr. Natale in Austin, Texas. The biggest miracle of all was that when I went off of Flecainide five days before surgery, nothing happened and I stayed in sinus rhythm. My first ablation was nearly five years ago, and I tried unsuccessfully to go off of Flecainide

Hi all, i had my ablation 3 weeks ago now and still experiencing mild soreness/discomfort around the puncture site in my groin. They Do Not Believe You. Get a Kardia!
So I had a video appointment recently with an ep. Unfortunately, some of my medical records did not arrive at his office on time, so he only had partial records. He had some ekg's that showed flutter, but he couldn't find one with afib. I explained to him that I have a 40-year history of afib progressing

Norovirus and atrial fibrillation
Had an ablation back in May 2022 but not heard from the hospital since the procedure. Generally not been too bad apart from 1 week with ectopics, bigeminals and trigeminals. Still on apixaban and 200mg of sotalol though.... That is, until now. I picked up my mother from hospital on Friday and started
