T4, Metavive - Atrial Fibrillation, did I mess up?
Hi All, I've been in the process of switching from Thiroyd (NDT now discontinued) to Metavive and ultimately to mostly T4 with maybe a little T3. During the period on Metavive II only I had my first ever atrial fibrillation attack without warning. It felt like an irregular heartbeat + palpitations

Bisoprolol side effects?!
Have had 2 AF episodes 3 months apart in 2020. Cardioversion after each. No recurrence in last 8 months. On apixaban for last 12 months. No side effects that I'm aware of. On Bisoloprol 1.25mg per day and Flecanide 100mg per day after second cardioversion last April. Much less energy than before taking

Short bouts of nsr
Is it possible to go into nsr for a few hours here and there. I was in persistent Afib after pneumonia for four months with flutter then had a cardioversion that lasted for two weeks. Had it confirmed by docs back into Afib but over last to weeks have noticed my heart rate variability was low and

Has anyone been given Adenosine?
I have had a spell in hospital between Christmas and New Year with rapid AF and was administered intravenous Adenosine. The doctor who gave it said “It will make you feel like s**t, I mean really s**t. You will think you are going to die.” He was right. Moreover, it didn’t work. Since I was given

New to this board - I have AF with Bradycardia and would like to know if bradycardia can be resolved if AF is stopped
I had an AF episode on October 31 and did not know what it was. I felt horrible. November 2 my heart dropped to 32 bpm. My wife took me to the ER immediately. 3 hours later I had a pace maker. I kept having episodes of AF and went back in for another heart cath. My cardiologist decided to set me up with

Heart rate of 52-54 bpm on. Bisoprolol 2.5mg and flecainide 100mg. Is this ok?
Happy New Year everyone. I’m rather concerned that since I added flecainide to my daily medications my heart rate has dropped from the low 60s to the low 50s. Even with hard exercise now I can’t get my bpm above 75bpm. I do feel ok generally and do an hours hard aerobic exercise a day. I am suffering

Finally home-Happy New Year to you all
Finally got out late evening yesterday and very relieved to be home. Plenty of rest today although my blood pressure keeps dropping low. I hate these drugs but am hoping my body adapts. I have normal blood pressure without drugs so they were worried in controlling my rate, it may drop too low. Currently

How irregular is AFib?
My wife woke up with her chest feeling strange. I took her BP but it differed but on the low side. It showed a pulse of 120 to 150. Normal for her is 65. Her wrist pulse is difficult to count as it is very fast then misses a few beats and then is normal for a few seconds before shooting higher. I have

Feeling a little lost.
I’m new to AF and could really do with a bit of support. I had been unwell for some time. Struggled all year to lose weight but zilch came off. I was getting bigger. End of November I was admitted to A&E unable to breath when lying down and was panting. (Had been getting breathless when walking) Pulse

Too much propafenone?
My cardiologist and I were hoping to reduce propafenone from 150mg 3x daily to 100mg. But I’ve been having a lot of afib and tachycardia recently. Today after a bad morning and afternoon I had messaged w my doctor about instead increasing to 200mg thrice daily, Funny enough, things settled down just

Merry Christmas from a very hot Perth
Thinking of you all at the moment, especially those of you spending Christmas in lockdown. It’s 40 degrees C here at the moment and our air conditioner decided to die (great timing - will have to wait until the holidays are over before we can get it fixed). Christmas lunch tomorrow is at my brother’s

Difference between Afib and atrial flutter
I’ve been told by my EP that I have shifted from Afib to atrial flutter. I have had a cryoballoon ablation, two radio-frequency ablations, two cardioversions. I’m on metoprolol Tartrate and flecainide. What precisely IS the difference between Afib and flutter? Will a fourth ablation help?

4 weeks post ablation - what are the fluttery feelings?
I had an ablation 4 weeks ago, I had a short history of 4 episodes of vagal triggered AF each about eight hour duration, since June, after a couple of episodes four years ago. Apart from those bits of AF, I sometimes had skipped beats if anxious but nothing else. Since the ablation I have had fluttery

Update on flecainide maintenance dose
I posted on here a couple of weeks ago regarding my afib and pac’s. When I seen my cardiologist after having a holter monitor on for 24hours he told me that I hadn’t gone in to afib but had multiple ectopics (up to 10000) in the 24 hours. They were from the atria not the ventricles. I then went on flecainide

Funky day,
Just had atrial flutter I think but I kicked off my anxiety, sucks. Anyone ever had that feeling of the heart being like squeezed slightly or like it's preparing to go into an arrythmia, then when it happens it releases? I feel that slight squeezing. Bracing myself for it. I have a loop recorder

Post ablation update
Hello I’m now just over three months post ablation. It was my third and under GA. like the other two. Today I had my post op consultation with with Mr Sporton of Barts which was changed for a phone consultation. I was told I’ve now got to accept I’m in permanent AFIB which I had anyway. He’s suggested
