Atovaquone

My rheumy is concerned about my immune system and has prescribed a preventative course of atovaquone to protect me from pneumonia -- even though I've recently had the pneumonia vaccine, He prescribed atovaquone since I drink about 6 oz wine with dinner each night.

Does anyone have experience of taking Malarone (Atovaquone/Proguanil) together with the usual suite of post HA meds (Ticagrelor, Bisoprolol, Ramipril, Omeprazole, Atorvastatin)? I am headed for a malaria-risk region in a couple of weeks' time and would like to be sure there isn't any conflict.

I've taken Atovaquone, to prevent PCP, throughout my chemo and the last 7months post chemo. At my last Clinic appointment the Consultant decided that when I finish my present prescription of Atovaquone, I will commence inhaled Pentamidine once every 4 weeks instead of the Atovaquone .

Have to take a liquid called Atovaquone morning and night to stop getting a certain kind of pneumonia. I find it fairly sickly and it is supposed to be taken with fat of some kind to increase the body's absorption. Banana smoothie seems to be the best thing to have with it.
