Now my Dr. has me on
Anagrelide
for the High Platelets and continuing the phlebotomies. However, my Dr. says I probably will need to go back on the Hydroxyurea for the rest of my life. I am in my late 60's and worry about my how these drugs change your life.

Ibuprofen patches?
I do on rare occasions take a couple of ibuprofen, I've been prescribed co-codamol but hate the side effects, as if I don't have enough side effects with the
Anagrelide
and ET!!

It’s been 6 months trying
Anagrelide
with reducing Hydroxy. I’ve been ok but getting heart palpitation, the doctors have agreed to keep the tablets the same for 2 months. After 12 years they are starting to listen to me and what I want. I’m waiting for my ECG results to come back.

I was diagnosed ET in 2016 although I do not carry the jak gene and doc tried
anagrelide
but it didn’t help my platelet numbers..I take a baby aspirin daily.. Just wondering what role the blood spots play if any for people with this disease..

One year on. and still happy🌞
We hope that the next year will be pretty uneventful MF wise and the hydroxy and
Anagrelide
continue to perform well without side effects as they have done, and her Portal vein hypertension decreases.

Anagrelide and heart issues
Oh, and I was also taken off
Anagrelide
! My issues started when one of the doctors increased my
Anagrelide
dose from four 0.5mg tablets a day to eight 0.5mg tablets a day (this wasn’t done gradually, I just went from four tablets one day to eight the next).

Anagrelide and heart issues
Three or four months into taking
Anagrelide
I developed heart failure symptoms. Has anyone else experienced or heard of this and should the symptoms be reversible?

Hi all. My lovely wife, has been suffering with an upper GI bleed these past few days. Her normal haematologist is away. We contacted the hospital and the haematologist there arranged a FBC today. This afternoon called to say she would arrange an Iron infusion for Friday, and I was to tee it up with

Hydroxyurea break
Switched to
Anagrelide
but having nasty side effects. Just wondering if anyone has had HU stop working and gone back on it after six months or a year break and had it be effective again. I asked my doctor but he didn’t know if that was a possibility. Wishing all of you the best. Doglover

Enlarged liver
I'm 28, have been diagnosed with ET 3 years ago and have been under treatment with Thromboreductin (
Anagrelide
) for a few months. I got an ultrasound the other day and found that I have a slightly enlarged liver, don't know what to make of it, I did not find this in the list of side effects.

Alternative medication
However she has offered me
Anagrelide
. Before I accept the change can anyone tell me how they have found this drug and whether they have any side effects. I must add that I also take Prednisone 6 mg a day.

Itchy Scalp with Anagrelide
Only started since on daily
Anagrelide
. Hate making a fuss, when people are so seriously affected and shining knights like Jedi make no fuss at all....but would be so grateful to hear from anyone similarly affected, and especially for any tips how to deal with it.

PegInterferon A or Anagrelide.
few horrible side effects with hydroxycarbamide, cramp in hands and legs and also cornea damage to my eyes (not definitely caused by hydroxycarbamide but have had this problem since I have been on hydroxycarbamide) Okay the question is the haematologist has offered to change my medication either to
