To Ab or not to Ab
I've been NSR for over a year on a low 200mg dose of
Amiodarone
(none of the numerous other drugs we tried worked) and the doctor has left it up to me whether I want to have an ablation or wait a year or so. Thanks for reading. Mike

3 Months Post 1st Ablation
Had some funny looks on the way back home as I had to walk slowly 😅 I stopped my
Amiodarone
1 month post ablation on 28th June 2022 - Before the ablation I was having multi daily episodes of fast AF lasting sometimes 10-15 mins or up to 6 hrs, nights were a horror, I couldn't believe my heart could

Afib heat laser Ablation
My cardiologist has recommended an ablation for the 21st of July since
Amiodarone
is toxic to some people if taken too long so I'm wondering if anyone on here has had an ablation when in medication induced NSR for awhile and if your Afib came back after the procedure.

Update on my big decision not to have fourth ablation
I refused and asked for
Amiodarone
but we agreed to wait and see. Then in June I was back in A&E again but this time it self-resolved after four hours (HR 'only' 145this time). There seemed to be some confusion at the EP's hospital over whether it was Afl or Afib.

Eight and a half weeks post ablation
Finally
Amiodarone
was administered intravenously. I protested my previous experience with it wasn't good but an anonymous cardiologist said there was no choice. I've never seen a heart monitor drop to zero before and hope never to again!

Had an ablation in February and everything was great until....
Dr prescribed Eliquis &
Amiodarone
to keep it in rhythm & protect from blood clots. Had the ablation in February, had 3 months of Afib then everything was great....until I had a kidney stone.

Reactions to Flecainide and Amiodarone?
After the failed 2nd cardio, the EP prescribed
amiodarone
200, and had me stop Flecainide and Metoprolol. So I’m 4 days into the new meds and the symptoms of weakness, etc., seem even worse. Anyone have similar experience on amiodrone?

12th Trip to Resus with different outcome
They decided against giving me
amiodarone
despite it working every previous time. I said I would prefer
amiodarone
(I knew about its dirty drug status but it works for me). Instead I had a hideous drug called adenisene - 2 doses and the 2nd dose was double the first.

why am I cheering because I have been offered an ablation!
He was obviously prepared. He asked me a couple of questions.Told me options.Cv with
Amiodarone
or Ablation. He recommended Ablation due to how long I have been in AF & waiting list. So ablation it is list about 4 months.

TERRIFIED AMIODARONE
My (new) cardio doctor wants me to go on
Amiodarone
(an an antiarrythmic med) 4 weeks before and about 6 weeks after the cardioversion. I read about a number of TERRIFYING potential side effects associated with this drug.

Has anyone heard of the study: Berberine vs Amiodarone for AFIB?
We find that berberine and
amiodarone
are equally effective at maintenance of SR. The health beneficial effect of berberine is confirmed and the clinical application of berberine is promising.

Should I be feeling so ill with ?
Still no sign of the
amiodarone
,arrhythmia nurses are on answerphone (I've left a message) and GP says they haven't received anything. Meanwhile, I feel so much worse. Very dizzy and breathless when I try to get out of bed, uncomfortable feeling across my chest and back, nausea and no appetite.

Update on my hybrid ablation
The bad news is that I’m still on all the medsso some of this success will be due to them, particularly
amiodarone
which I’ve now been taking for far too long and want to give up. One option might be to switch to dronedarone.

Low heartrate - Bradycardia
I had bouts of Afib during my stay and was put on
Amiodarone
for around 4 months this was later changed to a small dose of Bisoprolol - 1.25 mg per day. I was originally diagnosed in April 2017 and put on Losartan 20mg and aspirin 75mg. I've remained on all 3 plus Artovastatin and omneprazol.

Would you believe it.
However I am convinced that the constipation was caused by my taking
Amiodarone
and/or Renalizine In preparation for the cardioversion so it looks like it wil have to be cancelled because of the very reason that I was taking the medication in the first place!!! Any thoughts please. Statusqu.
