Switched 8yo medication from Concerta XR to Focalin XR concerns
He was on
adderall
5mg; then 5 mg with a 2.5mg mid day for the first year and then put on Concerta 18 XR middle of first grade at 6 YO. He was on the concerta 18 until October of 2022 when they upped his dose to 27 XR due to some behavioral/focusing problems at school.

Life after meds?
Then in February, the nationwide
Adderall
shortage led me to quickly taper off of that med. Again I suffered through the withdrawals. I also quit Trazodone. I also recently retired due to burnout from high stress careers.

Adderall Shortage
I am now going into my second year in graduate school and this shortage on
adderall
is immensely affecting me in so many ways. What tips or suggestions do you have? I’ve called 13 pharmacies and no luck.

ADHD, Processing Disability, and/or Aphantasia - Comprehension Strategies
Aside from trying medication (
adderall
), I am searching for strategies to improve my reading comprehension, more specifically reducing reading comprehension time. Aside from ADHD, my clinician suspects I have a type of processing deficiency (auditory, visual or both).

Abilify Withdrawal Side Effects
He’s also on
adderall
which we know contributed to the volatility in the afternoon /evening. Curious what other side effects people may have seen reducing ability?

After 4 years away from Adderall, it doesn't have the same kind of effect as it did before.
I was prescribed
Adderall
for 14 years, having moderate success with it. I had gotten very ill and was in 2018 diagnosed with small nerve fiber damage of unknown origin. Learning to live with that crazy neuropathic pain nearly killed me, and I took a break from

ADHD meds that don’t have as much side effect
My 14 year old has tried both Concerta and
Adderall
. Her teachers have noticed a remarkable difference in focus when she takes her meds. However she has refused to take them because she said she feels weird when she’s on them-that she’s not herself.

Adderall shortage?
Hi all - I am wondering if anyone else has found some ways to work around the
adderall
shortage that seems to be affecting our area (NW suburban Chicago). It seems like it has been problematic for the past 3-4 months.

Older Parent (71) with Daghter (mid 20's) Recently ADD Inattentive
My daughter seems to be stuck in a struggling relationship (4 or 5 years into it), is without a job despite having recently graduated with a Computer Technology based Bachelors degree, hasn't been able to find a medication that doesn't have unacceptable (to her) side effects -

Adderall versus Strattera?
Our eleven year old boy, who has ADHD and dyslexia, has done pretty well on 5 mg of
Adderall
daily. His focus has improved significantly, and he's less hyperactive. But his loss of appetite is serious enough that, at our doctor's recommendation, we're considering Straterra.

Sandoz Adderall and all other stimulants? - formula change - decrease in quality/ ineffective.
Have you noticed your manufacturer generic no longer working? Taken it for years consistently and October and November refill do NOT work at all back to back. The November fill was even increased to 30mg ir 2x daily. Was even worse. I chalked it up as a rare anomaly at first but lightning doesn't

What to do about Adderall Toxicity, i.e. it messes with your endocrine system. Withdrawal, long term side effects.
Anyone else have to deal with
Adderall
Toxicity?
Adderall
messing with your endocrine system? Not overdosing or to that extreme. But long term use where your body is dependent on the medication and there are long term side effects.

My 8 yr old grandson was prescribed
Adderall
XR 10mg for his ADHD, and although at home and his teacher at school saw a reduction in his impulsivity and improvements in recall, we felt that at home there was an increase in his irritability and aggression. He has been diagnosed with ODD also.

Medication trade offs?
He was on 1 mg of guanfacine since June then we also did trials of Quillivant, Ritalin, and
Adderall
. On the last 3 we experienced much bigger emotional reactions, loss of appetite, more dysregulation.
