Sweet’s Syndrome Unveiling a Primary Cervical Malignancy: A Case Report, Sept 2024. cureus.com/articles/294734-...

Sweet's syndrome secondary to cervical cancer.

52 yr. old woman with a 5 month history of fever; fatigue; painful skin lesions on scalp, face, trunk and limbs; 3 month history of joint pain affecting multiple joints; kidney involvement - protein in urine.

Also, overlap between anaemia of chronic disease/inflammation, and autoimmune haemolytic anaemia (a rare immune disorder).

Skin biopsy conclusively proved Sweet's syndrome. Treated with colchicine.

Ultrasound scan revealed a cervical mass. MRI confirmed stage 2 cervical cancer.
