Not as protected from the COVID-19 vaccines because of Sweet's Syndrome?

Hi! I received my second shot of the COVID-19 vaccine yesterday. The nurse who administered it said that because I have Sweet's Syndrome I may not have as much protection from the vaccine as others. Has anyone else been told this? Is there any evidence for this? I should say that I'm not currently taking any medication for SS. I have emergency prednisone and cortisone cream for flares, but I'm not on anything on a regular basis.

Hi JKCronin, there's no evidence to support this claim. Immune response to the vaccine can be weaker if the patient is taking immunosuppressants, e.g. prednisone.

Thanks. I was surprised to hear this from the nurse.
