Sweets and Stomach Ache?

One of my reactions to Sweets has been a severe mouth lesion which is gradually going away due to Prednisone treatments. However, I have developed a constant stomach ache - not much nausea just a constant burn in my stomach. Can that be related to Sweets?

Hi bherrington,

Stomach ache isn't a common symptom of SS. It's much more likely that your symptoms are being caused by the prednisone. Steroids can increase the amount of acid that the stomach produces, so medications such as omeprazole sometimes need to be given alongside steroids to counteract this.
