I guess maybe lots of people do, but I am not one of them.
I set out today to change the back inner tube of my bike. It is a slow process but I have done it once before so I was convinced I could do it again with a little help from the university of YouTube.
Brakes loosenedβοΈ
Chain moved to the little coil βοΈ
(Iβm not sure these are correct technical terms)
Wheel released βοΈ
Plastic bits put in to help release the inner tube from tyre βοΈ
Inner tube taken out βοΈ
Checked the inside of the tyre for thorns and punctures βοΈ
Inflate inner tube by 30% βοΈπ‘π‘π‘π‘π€¬.
I could not get the rotten thing to stay on and pump up the inner tube.
1 hour and two coffee breaks later, I look at how to use a foot pumping you tube. I Find out there are two sorts nozzles and I have the wrong one.
Put everything back in the shed. πππ.
I will succeed it just might take me a bit longer

That last part is really important, always check the inside of the tyre for any thorns, etc, you can spend ages checking the inner tube, find nothing, struggle to get the tube and tyre back on the wheel and low and behold go a short cycle ride and find the tyre flat again BECAUSE the thorn was in the tyre not the tube.
I got a puncture last year, the first place I checked was the tyre, sure enough that was where the thorn was, got it out and went a short bike ride to the same place that I had ran the day before, ran the 5K in 35 minutes, cycled it in a leisurely pace in 19 minutes, that was last October, this morning I reran run 3 of week 5, my pace this morning was 07.09 per Km compared to 08.40 per Km the first time I ran it last year.
That is an impressive reduction on time. well done. I have now found out my foot pump does do my inner tube you have to turn the nozzle the other way round. Feeling a bit silly now πππ
I just use a old fashioned pump to pump up my tyres, word of warning regarding e bikes, I have been told that they are dangerous, expensive death traps, I would never think of buying one until they are made safer.
I read also that in both Holland and Germany there have been many casualties, some fatal.
I felt a bit silly yesterday after around three hours of trying, cursing and then putting it all away, looking online and realising that all I had to do was turn two of my nozzles the other way round πππ.
