Lillyonna, I am so sorry to hear of your illnesses. Do you have access to a pool where you could move in the water? There are also exercise programs that can be done in a chair. youtube.com/watch?v=gQa5jst...

I am not advocating for any particular chair exercise program....just sharing the idea with you. The key to for you to move your body. It will help your knee arthritis and your weight. Of course it is hard to lose weight especially when you can't exercise....but trying smaller portions and some healthier substitutes can make a difference... a little bit at at time. Please let me know if you try the chair exercises....I know you can improve!

I’m in same situation, just diagnosed with severe arthritis in left knee, want to lose weight but cant walk very long with my knee

I have the same issues. No access to pool. I recently dusted off my exercise bike, had to rais the seat where I can get my knee to bend. So far can only manage 10 minutes but hoping to eventually increase time and liwer seat. It really hurts the first few cycles but after a minute the pain is much less. My knee keeps getting stiffer and I dont want it to permanently be that way

I admire your diligence. Walking on pavement aggravates my arthritis. I am hoping to get to the water! Best wishes.

I am so sympathetic beong a type 2 diabetic which brings on many other issues.. can you flex and stetch while in bed before arising and before going to bed? My doctor advises water walking to reduce stress and keep the joits moving. Lupus is a hard diagnosis. I am willing to talk often and pray. I have a major weight issue and need double knee replacement. Blesdings and best wishes. Bev
