Hiya I need your help, and I am new on here. I have many health problems including Breast Cancer and at greater risk of Ovarian Cancer. 17 years ago. Two years ago after having many Neurological Symptoms, finally diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder and Dystonia after 15 years. 4 months ago I started to feel dizzy every time I got up, but wasn't passing out. Then as I was doing my my hobbies, little chores, while sitting, I noticed I was passing out, at first I thought perhaps I was falling asleep. But then I realized this was a actual faint, or what I call a faint collapse. Loads of them all day, last about 20 seconds. I also do suffer with Tachycardia and odd palpitations. Which have had 25 years. But I do not suffer anxiety. In April one evening I was doing my hobbies I enjoy ,that relax me, I fainted 12 times, in which my hubby saw. Every day I have at least one, maybe two or a few. I went to hospital for a appointment one day, and I collapsed twice, the second one I passed out before I could tell a nurse. The nurse saw me, she said I was extremely white, indeed, and that I was very Tachycardic. My blood pressure was 140/76 and then 133/55. She sent me to A and E, a a Dr there said I am pretty sure you have Syncope. Please make sure you go to a Syncope Clinic at the hospital. Two weeks later I was seen by a Heart consultant I had a heart scan, which was fine. Also wore a heart monitor for three days. I feel dizzy when I stand up when using my gutter frame, I can feel that I am that close to passing out, I informed the heart consultant, but because I didn't actually pass out from standing he wasn't interested. Obviously all my faints are from sitting. My results from heart monitor was by letter, basically it just said, yes I am having a number of faints. But even though Drs, nurses and Paramedics and myself know that I suffer Tachycardia, it didn't show this on heart monitor. I am still having faints, and with having Functional Neurological Disorder, with Non Epileptic Seizures, which have just started up in the last year. Could my faints be connected to my non Epileptic Seizures. I suffer with Epilepsy from when I was 18, it's under control. My GP has just said oh well just get on with it. I am not happy with the result. I am wondering if my non Epileptic Seizures are connected to the faints. Or maybe another type of Syncope . As usual I never get a Diagnosis, if I hadn't of questioned the GP , it would be left yet again. this is not a good enough answer, from the Heart Consultant, yes we can see you are having a number of faints. I already know this. Very frustrating. Could really do with some more advise, as I am finding this very scary with the amount I am having. Thank you

I am sure you appreciate this forum is not really appropriate for a lengthy response! However, psychogenic blackouts (syncope) or non-epileptic attacks can be linked to faints. Individuals with psychogenic blackouts do find they experience frequent blackouts, often on a daily basis, amongst other symptoms. If you go to the STARS website, stars.org.uk you can download a booklet, Psychogenic Blackouts, which will address some of your questions. heartrhythmalliance.org/sta...
