Hi Everyone, I’m 66 yrs old and overweight and unfit. Six years ago I had an arthroscopy on my left knee. It occasionally flares up but on the whole is ok but I do find my left hip can be painful at times.

I have lost over a stone in weight on my diet but am now starting a fitness journey. I found a low impact workout on YouTube- Body Project - which I do every morning. I really enjoy it but I am now finding my hip is painful later in the day and at night.

I really don’t want to stop the exercises so any suggestions would be great.

Keep doing what you're doing, but take breaks. Stay hydrated and keep the good work!

I have often found myself in the same situation. I want to exercise but my body may not be cooperating. It may be worth switching it up for a short period to figure out what message your body is sending you. Can you go for a walk or ride a bicycle? Are you trying to do too much too quickly?

Not what you're looking for?
