In particular has anyone used Dragon software?
Has anyone used any voice activated s... - Scleroderma & Ray...
Has anyone used any voice activated software in relation to Raynauds or any other medical conditions and what has their experience been?
*RAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHHH*
T-T Linux and Dictation software does not mix. Unfortunately I can't afford Dragon, but apparently it isn't that bad. I'm using an alpha release, testing for Fedora >.<; Pain in the rear end, yet it's all I have.
I'm having better luck with a ported predictive text feature through gedit. Which i then copy and paste.
Thanks Ravenshade. The price for Dragon is just hmmm....but the feedback on line seems to be good. I have to way it up I guess.
Yes I have used Dragon ......... I had it when I was in the workplace but didn't like it very much - if it doesn't pick up a word it would type the nearest sounding -- spent more time checking what I had asked it lol!!!
Hi I used Dragon at work but it wasnt very compatible with our systems, I agree with Anteater, it takes quite a while to build up your own dictionary, where it recognises the way you say things so it doesnt mistype words. I got rid of it at work, but I know people who have it at home and find it worthwhile. You will just need to give it some time to build up recognition to your voice and accent.
Anteater and Winter, thank you for sharing your experiences. I will certainly give it a go and hopefully find a practical solution around the recognition typos.
Been unwell these last couple of days and typing became a challenge...
