Has anyone tried Back On Track glove... - Scleroderma & Ray...
Has anyone tried Back On Track gloves ore socks for their raynauds? It's a ceramic coated polyester material that reflects body heat.
Hi Pcokfarm - nope never heard of it. Where would you purchase such items?
At a tack store for horses, or at their web pages.
Marks and sparks have vests made in this stuff .
Hi pcokfarm,
When I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 20 years ago I used Back on Track products for quite some years as I was working outdoors then and found the knee supports, neck collars plus the long sleeved high neck skivvy helpful and warming.
But since I've also been diagnosed with Secondary Raynaud's, the Back on Track socks, insoles and gloves don't keep my feet and fingers warm much, if at all. I still wear the Back on Track skivvies but the only product I've found that work to keeps my feet and toes warm are; 2 pairs of Merino woolly socks plus a pair of possum-fur-skin boot liners/booties, then I put on my high calf length Merino sheepskin boots.. I also wear 2 pair of Merino woolly gloves plus a pair of possum-fur-skin Mitts over the gloves..
I tried the possum fur and Merino wool knitted socks but I was disappointed as they weren't that warm at all..
I don't venture outdoors much these days now as the cold weather makes my Raynaud's throb with pain.. But I invested in a ThermoTex Foot and put my feet inside this thermo-tech therapy mornings and just before bed, plus I have their Platinum heating pad to rest my fingers and hands on to warm them up.. I swear by the ThermoTex range of products for anyone with Raynaud's..! Here's a link to see how ThermoTex work: thermotex.com/howworks.htm
